It really doesn't take a team of City's quality to play nice football

But it is hard to do it and win. As we aren't winning there are fans who seemingly would be content to finish 4th as long as we played better. The Juve way really is first or nothing, despite the protests to the contrary, but we are definitely a team in transition, and now with a horrible injury list which compounds our position.

while i don't really agree with his posts lately, he's never been a prick, not for a second. he's a good guy who's a bit lost in tactics and draws conclusions based on isolated incidents. i mean if loca scores a goal here and there then he's a potential goal machine, even though neither of his former coaches realized this and he never consistently scored. if vlahovic ends a game without a shot in target then he's ruined by the coach, not considering how much he played lately, and how many times he played twice a week previously. etc. just too many logical fallacies to prove a point he already made up his mind about. he's still all right even on his period lol. i like mike.

I actually always defended Allegri. Like come on, people used to say Conte was better than him when he couldn't get us past Galatasaray. Meanwhile, Allegri was overturning ties consistently in the 2nd leg with great formations.

I just disagree with his approach nowadays. I fear that he is not adapting. Mostly with the fact that we are consistently pressed. And to be clear, I don't really mind his approach in Europe.

Why are you guys so toxic? Our own management decided some years ago that they needed to play a different brand of football. Unfortunately, they failed at it spectacularly for various reasons.

Winning and playing attractive football is not mutually exclusive.

It's like some of you get offended or triggered the moment someone mentions the mere thought of attacking or offensive football like it's some sort of sin that isn't supposed to happen at Juventus.

Obviously it's difficult to play good football due to the limitations of the squad right now but there's nothing wrong in expecting Juventus to be a bit more progressive and pro-active in their approach.

Nobody here expects Juventus to play like prime Barcelona and I'm sure nobody cares about Juventus shithousing to 1-0 wins in Europe but as I said, there's nothing wrong in expecting Juve to be a bit more progressive in their approach especially against minnow teams where the difference in talent is pretty evident. This dinosaur mentality is one of the reasons why Italian football is in the shitter.

Look, Allegri deserves the benefit of the doubt given the injuries to the squad but this kind of football will eventually have an expiry date. This is exactly what happened during his final season too. We eventually ran out of ideas and played without any purpose. (Some of the blame goes to the declining squad as well)

Juventus will eventually improve the squad next season so forgive me if I expect the team with by far the biggest budget in the league to not get dominated by minnows at home.

There is a wide spectrum between "Prime Barca" and "dominated at home by Spezia" styles of football. It does not have to be this horrid to yield results as every club that doesnt have City budget and is winning is showing. And especially not true in broke Serie A.

Can we play with Inter or Milan level of nice football and win Serie A without a mega expensive squad? Obviously yes.

Vlahovic, De Ligt and Chiesa are the only players in our team that even have the ability to play in that style, Dybala possibly but he is always injured and Cuadrado is aging and doesn’t have the stamina these days.

I agree we need to modernise, but we need to build towards that not just make stupid decisions and expect a different playing style to appear within 6 months. If Allegri is still playing this way next year then we won’t have made progress and I’m not ok with that but I see us as getting back on the right track. Bonucci can’t play it consistently, not at his age anyway. He’s kamikaze in a high line and that Mancini team only went full throttle in the group stage against fairly poor opposition. They were a lot more pragmatic in the knockouts - Spain game is an illustration of the differing tactical styles.

Next year we will certainly improve, a couple of signings (our left side and cm area is a disgrace) will make a big difference for Allegri. He’s too good a manager to be content with what we are seeing
