You don’t get the point. I couldn’t care less if we play progressive football that’s beautiful on the eye and win every game 6-0 or if we play pragmatic football and win 1-0 or 2-1. It makes no difference. I love the stilo Juve, the grinta and hardworking performances are what this club is all about, it’s why us ‘toxic’ supporters fell in love with the club.
Even our club motto is ‘Victory isn’t important, it’s the only thing that matters’.
Would I complain if we won every game 6-0 and played Gegenpressing? No. Will I complain if we scrape victories and win by 1 goal. No.
The toxic fans are the ones that bitch and moan about not playing attractive football when you have Bernardeschi, Arthur, Rabiot, Alex Sandro, MDS and McKennie as regular starters.
Just because you couldn't care less about how we play that doesn't mean everyone else should have the same opinion.
Afterall, this club has played attractive football in the past. Afterall, Allegri got FIRED for playing awful football despite cruising to the league title and a CL quarter final. Afterall, this is the same club president that thinks Juventus should play attractive football and 'score more goals' if they want to attract new fans and increase their global presence.
Again, speaking about grinta and 'hardworking' performances and dissociating those qualities with attacking football like they're completely different things is borderline embarrassing. Do you think Liverpool or City lack grinta or any less hardworking? Get off your high horse dude.
Nobody here expects Juventus to play like prime Barcelona and I'm sure nobody cares about Juventus shithousing to 1-0 wins in Europe but as I said, there's nothing wrong in expecting Juve to be a bit more progressive in their approach especially against minnow teams where the difference in talent is pretty evident. This dinosaur mentality is one of the reasons why Italian football is in the shitter.
Look, Allegri deserves the benefit of the doubt given the injuries to the squad but this kind of football will eventually have an expiry date. This is exactly what happened during his final season too. We eventually ran out of ideas and played without any purpose. (Some of the blame goes to the declining squad as well)
Juventus will eventually improve the squad next season so forgive me if I expect the team with by far the biggest budget in the league to not get dominated by minnows at home.
