Why he wasn't called up for the preseason camp though? At first I thought it's because the transfer is imminent but obviously he'll still be here by the time the team is back. Attitude problem?
We've been so desperate to sell our young assets that they've now become undervalued. Should have played it cool instead of transfer listing them so aggressively.
Dean Huijsen , at the moment, has doubts about the possibility of accepting the offers from Stuttgart (15 million plus bonuses offered to Juventus ) and Bournemouth. The player is taking time to evaluate any new, more prestigious solutions

15m? Surely not?
It would be absolutely mad if we even entertained selling him for 15m. Are we allergic to keeping young talents? You don't balance the books by throwing away assets like that.
Why do we want to get rid of him that badly anyway? Isn't he seen as one of the best young defenders out there? If you want to raise a significant amount of funds or if you're getting an offer you can't say no to then fine. But this is the opposite.

He’s an 18 year old that’s has about dozen games at the top level (at a fairly mediocre level defensively) so far…we are kidding ourselves if we think we will get €30m or close to that.

I disagree. People think the next Gen project is to blood the first team with talent, to a degree that's true, but it's also to create assets that we can sell on too, I think people forget that.

But I'd rather see if we can extract that potential that he has ourselves rather than throwing him away for 15m and see him develop to a 50m defender in 2 years. And if we fail, well then at least we didn't lose out on that much money. Even if he fails we'll get around 10m just based on his age alone.
Based on promise and age I still wouldn't settle for less than 30.
As I stated yesterday I don't think he's ready to be starting for a big club including ourselves, Huijsen seemingly thinks otherwise which is why he has snubbed the likes of wolfsburg in recent days/weeks, but I do think he has potential.
