Tottenham Linked With Davids

05/26/2004. Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey believes the club have made the right decision to part company with manager Gerard Houllier.

Heskey, who joined Birmingham last week, believes the Frenchman had gone 'stale' and had taken the Merseysiders as far as he could.

"He is a good manager but I think he went a bit stale," explained the England international.

"Liverpool need to be challenging the top two. He has taken them far but he had taken them as far as he could."

However, he added: "No-one can say that he has not done a good job as he has won trophies there.

"The next manager has a tough job on his hands but there are already some quality players there and there should be some money to sign some others this summer," he added.

Lets not be despective with one of the greatest midfielders that juve has ever possesed. He gave us his best years, and he was , many times, the motor on juve.
Its true that he has a problematic personality and has become greedy.Probably he will bounce between two or three teams til retirement.

But his contribution to the Old Lady will be remember !!!

of course it will be rememberd, though for me the main idea of football is to play it and by it to gain money (to be payed for good performance) and not to decide where and when to play based on who gives you more.

this reminds me of zidane moving to real madrid.

he kept saying that he moved because of the weather, and how turin had no night life and how he had to SLEEP EARLY.

i remember saying this: "Zidane should have to sleep so early! He's almost 30- he's a big boy now!"

As a player, Davids' ability and skill can't be doubted, and he's greatly loved by the Juve tifosi and I'm sure most of us, if not all of us, are extremely grateful for what Edgar has given Juve over the years, but as far as personality goes he does seem to be a greedy man.

Thats bullshit. Man wants what he deserves: a propper payroll.

And he wants to secure his future by signing a 3-year contract. Its not a sin to join a club that offers better and longer contract.
A proper payroll? Do you know how much friggin money that man makes? He's filthy rich I would tend to think, and when he was at Juve he wasn't being unfaired like Trezeguet is now. He used to be paid well, but that wasn't enough for him so he moved onto Barca. Obviously what they have to offer can't satisfy him either, so again, he'll move on in search of a massive salary.

Yeah, it seems like Edgar has turned into a money-searcher. That sort off skews his image as a good footballer.

Do you know him to say that he is too rich? Do you know on what he spends money? If anyone in Juve deserved to be payed more...its Davids.
He achived everything he could.....he wanted longer contract....Juve wouldnt give it. Now hes in situation to pick the club in which he will play and hes not stupid to turn down a better offer.......

And FTR ......Davids is 40 times better player than Trez altough tey can t be compared. If I could pick a player for my idiotic squad,I would take Davids.
And If you have a players that can deliver the ball into 1000% score-chance....you could put Mark Iuliano as a striker,he would score same as Trez. Thats why he doestn deserves a better contract....and Juve board knows that.
