Juventus striker David Trezeguet believes his side has got what it takes to beat anyone both at home and abroad.
The Bianconeri currently lie second in Serie A and in Champions League Group A.
Trezeguet is Juventus’ top scorer this season with six goals in all competitions.
Speaking to Rai Due, Trezeguet said: “I believe that Juve shouldn’t fear anyone. We know that Inter are a competitive team, but we also know that our club has made some great signings and we are much stronger with respect to recent years.
“We have had good moments and less good moments in this first part of the season, but we are close to Inter and we are determined to reach our objectives, among which there is also the Scudetto.”
Asked if Juventus’ ambitions stretched to the Champions League, Trezeguet replied: “It’s a trophy that I have never had the joy of winning. It’s an objective that the club, the fans and I want to realise and I hope that this year can be the decisive year for us.”
Earlier today, Trezeguet’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, also said that it would be difficult for his client to leave Juventus despite recent speculation.
“I had thought about leaving, it’s true, but the change of trainer has been very important for me on a personal level and things have changed,” Trezeguet concluded.
