It's 8 years old man, resolution was fine for the time.

Yeah, I know. But back then, I always used a higher res on my old CRT monitor. Even if it meant using a magnifier glass, the icons looked much nicer.

It's not really so much a matter of choice though. I haven't done this for years, but I remember it was hard enough to find large res pictures. It's all well to target 1920 or 1600 but when all the pictures you can find are 300, 400, 500 pixels you're not gonna make it.
