I'm not blinding myself, I think his record is amazing.

But that doesn't change the fact that he, our best CL scorer, let us down when it mattered most. And so did Trez in 2003. And in that way there is no difference between them.
Unfortunately for you, Records are not calculated by who let who and when he did (you were always begging to judge strikers based on their goals and that's exactly what I did) and based on scoring records:

Inzaghi > Trezeguet.

partnering Trezeguet with Del Piero and selling Inzaghi to milan was one masterpiece business. milan gained almost nothing from him if you don't count that goal in cl final, deflected from his ass.
that is a little harsh on Pippo, i have no love for teh man but he was and still is a sensational poacher.
that said i would still pick Trezie any day of the week

well then your 'analysis' has just gone out of the fuckin' window my friend...i've lost count the number of clutch goals David has scored for us over the years...to say he is a minnow-basher is the greatest dishonor you could give, especially when you're saying Pippo is a big match finisher :howler: :howler:
i think the problem is that Pippo celebrates EVERY goal like he has just won the golden boot, world cup and worlds most handsome man competition....
but to say Trezie is a minnow basher is doing him a huge dissewrvice, he has scored a vast amount of extremely important goals for us, some more important that others

damn i cannot find the pic of the goal v Milan on 8 may 2005

Trez has scored against Real, Arsenal and a few others for us in the champs leauge. If anything Id say he's a big game player, some great goals against Inter and AC.

Guess who was in the right place AGAIN. And who wasn't. But it's just luck, right. Three in a row, just lucky. Nothing to do with ability whatsoever.

Hey you drove me to Anti-Trez bullshit too :D

On a serious note, today Trezeguet is much better, he missed one hell of chances thou, but he is more active with better positioning, and that 1 on 1 shot was good save by the keeper. Amauri gets a big Zero, I would sub him with Del Piero!

Well, being in the right place at the right time has nothing to do with luck, it's ability to read the game.

Trezeguet is man of the match so far. One goal and 3 excellent chances from difficult situations. Should have scored at least one more, he's still a bit rusty, but he's looking great today and I've no doubt he'll find the net again today.

And I wanna marry Mama Trezeguet. What a wonderful woman. :D
