Based on this....

Inzaghi (Overall career):

League: Apps 436 / Goals 193 = 0.44
Cup: Apps 31/ Goals 15 = 0.48
CL: Apps 105 / Goals 68 = 0.65
Total: Apps 574 / Goals 280 = 0.49

Trezeguet (Overall career):

League: Apps 321/ Goals 184 = 0.57
Cup: Apps 15 / Goals 3 = 0.2
CL: Apps 68 / Goals 35 = 0.51
Total: Apps 405 / Goals 222 = 0.55

Inzaghi (Juventus):

League: Apps 122 / Goals 58 = 0.48
Cup: Apps 7 / Goals 2 = 0.29
CL: Apps 34/ Goals 29 = 0.85
Total: Apps 165 / Goals 89 = 0.54

Trezeguet (Juventus):

League: Apps 223 / Goals 132 = 0.59
Cup: Apps 15 / Goals 3 = 0.2
CL: Apps 47 / Goals 27 = 0.57
Total: Apps 288 / Goals 162 = 0.56

Numbers doesn't lie, while Trezeguet has the edge when it comes to the Reggina, Livorno and Bari of this world Inzaghi has an unmatched record when it comes to CL a place where you play the finest and toughest opponents.... and even during their Juve days the goal average is so close.

BTW I never imagined Inzaghi had such an amazing record with us in Europe... it is nearly a goal per match FFS
But doesn't Inzaghi have like 4 years on Trezeguet?
Saying Inzaghi is a better player than Raul (is,was, whocares) is probably the most retarded thing I've ever seen.

better poacher...
raul had more talent especially as a youngster. Raul is also a great captain on and off the field while inzaghi is just annoying.

I am insisting on inzaghi being the better poacher... maybe best of the generation.

Yeah, but those will change in time. Still, even now, his average isn't that better.
TBH I don't see those number changing drastically (realistically Trezeguet can never have a better CL record) and if they do then most likely it won't go on Trezeguet's favor.

Forget about the numbers, ask any non-Juventus fan if his team was playing a CL or a WC final and he had Inzaghi and Trezeguet among his ranks, whom would he play?

You're stuck with that CL factor while there's a huge difference between Milan and Juventus in CL. Swap their places in those teams and Trez would definetly come out the winner. We've been tormented in that tournament ever since Zidane left, while Inzaghi had Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf behind him.

Aye, plus Trez was out of the CL for two years while Juve were demoted and the year we returned.

I'm in no way disputing the ability of Inzaghi but I think it's a bold statement to make when you say Inzaghi > Trezeguet. Greater than or equal to I can let slide :p

You certainly have a point here, but still, Inzaghi had an amazing record with Juventus for 4 years eventhough our team wasn't that great at that time (1st year we had an amazing team with Lippi winning the league and reaching CL final, 2nd was the year of Del Piero's injury and we were crap, 3rd and 4th was Carletto's years and you know... we were also crap).

Pippo played his entire career in serie a.. with the last few years showing as a sub.
Raul has been a regular for real madrid in la liga.
Scoring in la liga is waaaaaaaay easier than in serie a. yet, pipo seems to have scored slightly more in total and has the better goal/game rate.
I understand raul is younger, but pippo is certainly the better poacher.

btw i said poulsen had a great 1st half and then his performance kept getting worse as time went on.. i blame it on his lack of fitness.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_liga#All-time_top_scorers

Inzaghi: 151 (0.45 per match)
Raul: 225 (0.42)

And just for fun:
Trez: 118 (0.60)

They're all great, but let's remember who we're talking about. Raul is lightyears ahead in scoring over even DP.

well then your 'analysis' has just gone out of the fuckin' window my friend...i've lost count the number of clutch goals David has scored for us over the years...to say he is a minnow-basher is the greatest dishonor you could give, especially when you're saying Pippo is a big match finisher :howler: :howler:

So you think a chance of 85% of having a goal when playing Inzaghi during CL doesn't make him a big match finisher??? FFS he nearly score a goal per game at CL...

Do I even need to mention the last final Milan owned?
