Trez: Juve made me reconsider
Sunday 13 September, 2009
David Trezeguet marked his first start of the season with a goal and admits he could reconsider leaving Juventus at the end of the season.

“It's wonderful. Last season I suffered so much with injuries and the decisions that meant I couldn't give my contribution,” he said after the 2-0 victory away to Lazio.

“I am working so hard to get back to my level and I know it is very tough to achieve, but my friends are helping me so much.

“These were my first 90 minutes and I am happy as I got to the end and scored a goal. I hope to continue giving my all to the club and helping the team.”

It was the Frenchman's first goal since February and his first start since April 11, which curiously was also against Lazio, albeit in the Coppa Italia.

Trezeguet had announced he would leave Juve at the end of the season, but the emotional scenes at his stoppage-time goal may well have changed his mind.

“The fact I scored gives me a lot of confidence. We will see further ahead, but when I netted I saw how happy everyone was for me and it was moving. :touched:

“We had a great performance tonight and now it's up to our rivals to prove themselves. We signed some players who gave something more to the team.”

He is also targeting Juventus legend Omar Sivori's scoring record of 167 goals.

“Sivori is one of my idols and I am slowly approaching his record, but the important thing is to get fit again and prepare for Tuesday's Champions League game.”

PS...the video when the team is in a group hug moment...Chiellini almost kills Giovinco.
And before Killing Giovinco, he pushed buffon like if buff was a sand bag. Too funny.

About that interview from some posts ago.... pay attention to the last part when the guy asked trezeguet if he is trying to play in a different way to copmpliment his game. Is interesting Trezeguet´s response and that clearly proves what i was thinking at the beggining of the game.

Trezeguet said that "the mister" in other words ferrara, told him to help more the tea,. Trezeguet said that if Iaquinta and amauri run the 90 minutes like crazy, even when not socring and helping the team, he(trez) will do the same. He said that he is working to play that way from now on, but he is aware that it is no his style and needs to improve. Anyways, he seems to be mentalized to do it for the sake of the team.

I liked specially that he said "if amauri and iaquinta run that much, i have to do the same".

Ok last I remember me attacking someone for a stupid comment about DP was when some guy said "he looked pissed on the bench".
You can't blame me for that, that was an assumptious and stupid statement, that a drama-seeking maggot would make :D
Dude, just the other day you got upset for someone calling DP going bald. You're really priceless.

1 appearance, 1 goal. I really hope he makes it to 3 by January. :shifty:

How can anyone call himself a Juve fan and shit on this guy, I'll never know. Just look at the gang celebrating with him after he scored, they know what he's given and what he can give. :touched:

It's just incredible that after such a long layoff that Trez's positioning is still impecable. He knows where to be at the right time. I am so glad that he's still got it & it's a just a matter of time before he bangs them in.
