I know, but these guys exits were more phased than what we have going on right now. Where every year somebody's either hanging up their boots or qutting the squad. I'm pretty sure Del Piero will have a similar story if he's on the bench this season and doesnt make the World Cup. There's nothing left to prove beyond a point, but it's just way too sad given that these guys have entertained us so long, providing us some of the finest moments in our history as supporters of the club.

Yea, but the new generation has different values. They aren't made up of the same level of commitment and loyalty our old guard has had for the club. This generation can be swayed by contracts being offered elsewhere, or for better opportunities that may or may not be available. Can't imagine them to behave like Del Piero, Trez, Nedved and Buffon did when Juve were relegated to Serie B. Different times. This jersey can never mean the same to the new set when compared with the old.
