Offering us Benzema for Trez seems like an act of charity on their part, and makes no business sense. "On paper" it would make a lot of sense for us, but we do not recycle our bottles for new ones when Trez has given 9 years of his career to our cause, repeatedly wanted to leave but was convinced to stay, and given us so much in return. He has already sealed his place in the hall of fame and players like that you don't swap over a game of poker.

I'm not paying him to look up him, no. Actually, I'm not paying him at all. I went to one game, and it was Milan's turf. I've never bought any merchandise or subscriptions that would flow to Trez's pocket.

In that case it's a similar argument, Trez is an icon, and icons are important for the club.

We could have replaced Del Piero years ago, when he was in a slump. But it didn't seem like the right choice.

It's not just goal production to take into account, you alienate fans and fans like icons. You disrupt team harmony also. In dollars and cents it could be cheap or it could be costly.

In terms of myth and following players like Trez are worth a lot to a club.

It's one thing to dump Di Vaio who never broke into the team, Trez and DP is a different story.

So did my grocer but I don't cheer on him when he's unloading the van.
 good one!

Why on earth should any team in the world swap someone like trez (injury prone, getting old) with someone like benzema, who's probably worth double the money trez's market value? So let's not kid ourselves, this is BS.

And even if, i think we should give trez the respect he deserves. There were some problems with him, his renewals and everything, but he was here for such a long time, and has given juventus so much, breaking records and everything. I don't want to remember him as the guy who was swapped with that new forward; i want trez to have his place in the hall-of-fame, finishing his career with us, just like DP will do.

Btw, when is he going to come back? i must admit that i'm not missing him that much atm, because amauri is doing an awesome job, and iaquinta is the ideal backup striker, but still, anyone know any dates?

we recovered nicely from inzaghi
We got Trez, Trez turned out to be better, we let Inzaghi go. There's noone better than Trez, at most equally badass. Besides, Trez has 9 years with us through Serie B and everything, Inzaghi was with us when things were rosier.

And yes, it was a loss. Inzaghi was popular with a lot of fans.
