He's actually very appreciated , I always had my fare share of critisizm for him as I did for any other player in Juventus . Just because he plays in Juventus and has given a lot to us , that doesn't make him immortal . Something a number of Juve fans in this forum can't understand is that there's nothing wrong in being realistic and critical of our players .
Do you want us to say Trzeguet is god , he is the best striker in the world and anyone who says he isn't perfect should be hanged ?
The reality is he is a great finisher but lacks in so many other departments , He can either disappear completely or with just one touch give you the win .

i totally understand what you're saying mark. it seems that alot of ppl on this forum either dont appreciate or dont realize trezegeut's greatness. his contribution to this club is unparalleled, he makes this team 100x better when he is in the lineup and he is a scorer. how many teams around the globe would sell their souls for striker of this class and quality. i believe he has 10 goals on the season thus far, he has a new contract in which he had to fight for and still IMO got jipped, and still plays the best football on our team IMO.
so how about this for all the haters on this forum, everytime he scores to tie or for the lead, i would prefer those who speak down about him not to post in the LIVE thread or in here singing his momentary praises . i can name 5 other key players on our club that deserve far more criticism than david and you know who they are...

Is he the best finisher ? Based on what ? Many othert players have scored more goals than him , are in better form etc. ..
A few years ago when he was the top scorer of Serie A then yes I would say he was the best finisher , but really after being dropped form the French National team I wouldn't say he's at his best . Saying he's the best in the world wouldn't be very fair would it ?

After 5 years in Monaco he had 85 appearances and scored 61 times.Then we signed him and after 7 years and 236 appearances he scored 175 goals.For France after 9 years he played 70 times and scored 34 times.No need to say more.Trez is box striker and surely one of the best in the world he`s doing his job always and rarely makes mistakes.It would be fu*king hard to find his replacement.
I have seen you critising him more than praising him though. OK, you don´t like that kind of players, I understand but he is a Juventino, isn´t he? He deserves an extra credit for that. And he is our top foreign goalscorer ALL TIME. That deserves nothing but respect. Yet, some people are just never satisfied and find the smallest reason to criticise our players.
The man is leading the goalscorers table this season too. That deserves nothing but praise.

Obviously Tezeguet , he's scored the most goals so far this season .
I know what you mean but I think you take critisizm the wrong way .
If a player performs badly in a game or two he will be critisized despite what he as done . Take Del piero , afterall he has done for Juve half this forum wants him on the bench for the next few games including me even though he's my favourite player . He simply is out of form and sometimes you haveto forget what he has done in the past and think who can give the most to Juve in the present .
If football was about cherishing and admiring players forever and never even thinking of critisizing them then we would still have Baggio or Platini in our side .

because you said that has been dropped from the National team so he isn't in the best of form. When 2 things matter here:
A) Trez has has the best start to a season EVER.
B) Coaches (in this case Domenech) don't always drop players because of their performance. RVN was highest goalscorer in spain last season yet he was droped from the NT. Does that mean he isn't a WC player?

Yes he's had an excellent start to the season . I don't remember when I said Trez was anything less than world class .

Exactly , even a struggling Henry is picked over an on-form Trezeguet , that's why Henry is better . I don't base my argument on the at all , you and some of the members here full heartedly believe Trezeguet is one of the best players in the world . It's simply not true , he's a beast infront of goal I'll give him that but his abilities are very limited and at the moment players like David Villa , RVN , Ibrahimovic etc... to name a few are all better than Trezeguet .
You might say that these players are different style players to Trezeguet , fine , Kanoute is even a better player/finisher than Trez . I'm not attacking him in any way , I'm just saying the truth , he isn't fast enough , powerful enough , skillfull enough to be mentioned in the list above . That's just the simple truth .
He was once a much better player and so was Nedved and Alex , his best times are over but thankfully he still getsthe job done and earns precious points for us . I couldn't ask for more . To say that he's the best finisher in the world right now is just too much .
