Juve make final Trez offer Friday 22 June, 2007

Juventus will reportedly offer David Trezeguet a new four-year deal worth £2.8m a season to convince him to stay with the Serie B champions.
The Frenchman has threatened to quit the Old Lady after rejecting an initial extension offer which he felt was too low.
Although the relationship between the club and the player is not great, President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has stated that the outfit would do all it could to keep the former Monaco man in town.
Juventus are now ready to make their final offer to the forward by taking advantage of this week’s significant increase in capital.
Valencia are reportedly interested in Trezeguet’s services, although his wage demands seem excessive for the Liga outfit – a problem which has also seen a possible move to Lyon collapse.
Meanwhile, Juventus are still looking for Trezeguet alternatives seeing as his present deal expires in June 2008.
Milan man Alberto Gilardino is still an option even if he yesterday claimed he was remaining at Milan. Ajax starlet Klaas Jan Huntelaar is another possibility.
However, reports in Britain claim that they may make a move for Newcastle man Obafemi Martins, who scored 17 goals last season and has a £13m rescission clause.

Hopefully, he'll extend with us. But if he were to leave, would you consider Martins a suitable replacement? I happen to think very highly of him.
