dont u think then that we should have been more adventurous and attacked instead of playing defensive football??? and then we can say Toldo lost us the game coz he gave away a goal....its just plain stupid to say that DP lost them the match...he could have won it but he certainly didnt lose it for Italy....in that way ZZ lost WC 2006 and Kahn by far the most outstanding player of WC 2002 also lost them the final

I dont understand ur post, we didn't have the firepower to attack like france did. Our strength was in counterattacking.

Besides if we were attacking all the time and Toldo conceeded, thats even less of a fault on him.

Yes, ZZ did lose France the WC, not as much as DP for Italy's 2000 though, but France had the upperhand before ZZ lost his cool.

And yes Kahn did lose Germany the final. But he was the guy that brought Germany through in the first place.

I'm not saying Italy's lost was all because of DP, there are 11 players, but his missed attempts were really influencial in Italy's lost or innability to win, whatever u wanna call it.

how are u judging the way 1 player is affecting the whole match??? Do u have a mathematical formula or r u just talking out of ure arse?
U can do as much calculation as u want, u clearly can't judge a football match, closest u'll get to being a good observer/scout is in FM07. I'd do more football watching if I were u.

Another perfect example:

CL Final 2005/2006, Henry 1 on 1 against Valdez, Henry shoot STRAIGHT to Valdez. Harsh and cruel, this is how the world goes. If Henry scored it will have been a different story altogether.

In contrast to

CL Final 2006/2007, Milan doesn't have many attacking chances, Kaka made a simple pass to Inzaghi, and Inzaghi waltzed around with the ball to fire a shot that is so weak that even a kid can do it better than him, and the shot went through Reina and ended up into the net. Call it lame, weak or whatever, but still a crucial goal that is much needed.

BTW I want Trezeguet to stay. After all he has been in Juventus for 6-7 years. He is a valuable person in Juventus attack and losing him will definitely be a blow, even though he does practically nothing on the field for 60 minutes or so. But when you need him, he will do that job. I still remember how he scored the goal against Real Madrid after a follow up from Zlatan

Juve make final Trez offer Friday 22 June, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus will reportedly offer David Trezeguet a new four-year deal worth £2.8m a season to convince him to stay with the Serie B champions.

The Frenchman has threatened to quit the Old Lady after rejecting an initial extension offer which he felt was too low.

Although the relationship between the club and the player is not great, President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has stated that the outfit would do all it could to keep the former Monaco man in town.

Juventus are now ready to make their final offer to the forward by taking advantage of this week’s significant increase in capital.

Valencia are reportedly interested in Trezeguet’s services, although his wage demands seem excessive for the Liga outfit – a problem which has also seen a possible move to Lyon collapse.

Meanwhile, Juventus are still looking for Trezeguet alternatives seeing as his present deal expires in June 2008.

Milan man Alberto Gilardino is still an option even if he yesterday claimed he was remaining at Milan. Ajax starlet Klaas Jan Huntelaar is another possibility.

However, reports in Britain claim that they may make a move for Newcastle man Obafemi Martins, who scored 17 goals last season and has a £13m rescission clause.

Hopefully, he'll extend with us. But if he were to leave, would you consider Martins a suitable replacement? I happen to think very highly of him.

I always thought Trezegay was lame. A classic loafer. I wouldn't mind if he leaves. I just hope we get a striker with some talent. Iaquinta is not that striker. But then again, playing alongside DP makes anyone look good
Trezeguet is a more complete striker than Del Piero. Del Piero is an overrated unconsistant choker.

You could have also just said you felt Trezeguet was a better player. Look, Del Piero has been a Juventus symbol for many years now and has won almost everything there is to win. Even if you still doubt his capabilities I think it's unfair to call him an inconsistent and overrated choker.

There are certain players you have to respect even though you don't like them. Scholes, Ronaldo, Beckham, Zidane, those are players that deserve respect no matter what. And so does Del Piero.

If you're going to talk in such demeaning fashion, make sure you talk of people like Zlatan.
