Stupid Domenech Ignores David again:

France pick newcomers, leave out Trezeguet
PARIS, May 24 (Reuters) - France coach Raymond Domenech picked three newcomers in the 23-man squad he unveiled on Thursday for Euro 2008 qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia next month.
Domenech called up Stade Rennes striker Jimmy Briand, 21, and Auxerre defender Bakary Sagna, 24, while again leaving out Juventus forward David Trezeguet.
The other uncapped player on the list is reserve goalkeeper Sebastien Frey, from Fiorentina.
Domenech has to make do without midfielder and captain Patrick Vieira, striker Thierry Henry and defender Willy Sagnol because of injury.
France play Ukraine on June 2 at the Stade de France and Georgia four days later in Auxerre.
"Briand is on form and it was logical to call him up," Domenech told a news conference.
"As for Sagna, he's just been voted best Ligue 1 defender by his fellow players and I did not have that many options at right back."
The France coach again banked on youth by selecting players such as Samir Nasri, Karim Benzema, Abou Diaby and Lassana Diarra.
He also welcomed back Olympique Marseille forward Djibril Cisse for the first time since a leg fracture ruled him out of last year's World Cup.
Domenech said Trezeguet, who has helped Juventus make it back to Serie A, was still part of his plans.
"There is a difference between the competition he has been playing in and international football but David has talent and is still a member of the France team," the coach said.
France are tied with Ukraine and Scotland at the top of Group B with 12 points. Scotland have played six games, one more than the two other leaders. World champions Italy are fourth.
