Davis is really one of the best ...

most of the people i know claim he's not in the league of ruud vanisltrooy or eto'o ... to me his the best ...

anyone has the averages of post players per season ??

i think it is because he usually does not get involved in the build up of attack like eto'o or RVN...they are more mobile then he is...but in terms of finishing and scoring i think there is no1 better than ronaldo and trezeguet...they r absolute killers in front of goal

as far as rvn vs trez go, trez is superior imo. they are both box strikers and if i am not mistaken both of them are yet to score a single goal out of the box. both are lethal finsishers and one of the best in the box, their records speak for themselves. but trez has one advatage over ruud and that is his aerial and heading ability. that's why i give the nod to trez.

eto'o is amazing though he's not the type of striker rvn and trez are, he's not that box striker. eto'o is superior technically and has better control of the ball than the two, but a little worse finishing, though eto'o is lethal no doubt about it. his heading is the worse out of all 3.

lol yea i remember once in UCL he scored a header against some russian team and he was sooooooooo happy lol...like he had just heard some good news from his dentist or something...

agreed, trezi is far more superior imo. But i think trezi scores from outside the box sometimes. And trezi has far more beatiful goals than RVN.

And i wouldn't put Etoo with those two, cuz hes not a finisher i would compare him with a Ronaldo,torres ,even rooney or villa.

nope, trez has yet to score out of the box. i'm certain he didn't, i think rvn scored his first goal out of the box in the second half of the previous season for man u, not sure though. for trez i am certain. but yeah trez does score some great goals, first that comes to mind the euro final, you gotta be world class to score a goal like that in such a match in those minutes. :cool:

yeah mybe he didnt, but trezi could score from outside of the box cause he has a bulet of shot and great technique as well.Mybe thats wat made me think he scored from outside of the box.
Am sure he was close a few times though.

of course he could, but he's in the box most of the time waiting for the slightest oppurtunity, that's how he must move, he has dp to move around the box. like capello said: "in the 16m he is technically unmatched".
but we'll wait for that goal outside of 16m. ;)
