If Trez will be sold this summer i wont settle for anything else than signing another top wc goalscorer. Knowing our board we will probably end up with quagliarella or smth.

DP wont have another season like last year, and i cant see Amauri being a regular top scorer. And Floccari isnt the answer.

If trez goes we need to go big in the market. Benzema or smth like that. Floccari will be just another Di Vaio here.

He was crying when people attacked Del Piero for his reaction with the jacket when he was replaced, saying how Del Piero did that only once, and now he says that Trez is whining when being subbed, even if Trez also did it only once :dielaugh:
i'm glad someone finally brought up the del piero obsession

Very poor and irrelevant I must say. Too much of Trez obsession here in this thread as well. In the first half of last night match, Trez could pass the ball to Iaquinta but instead, he decided to shoot himself which was easily saved by Muslera. Now if it had been Del Piero instead of him, I could see how people would have labeled him as a selfish player. This is the logic you are using there. So stop bringing up Del Piero when it's really uncalled for.

Oh and Alen, Trez's frustration after being subbed against Chelsea was perhaps his "first time" but what makes him look like a whiner is beyond that. You might have forgotten about his nice gesture some time ago.

Inzaghi scored more goals in serie A this year than any other player we have bar Amauri.
Inzaghi scored 18 goals total last season (on some 20 matches), Trez scored 20.
Inzaghi scored two goals in the CL final less than 2 years ago.

Why do you think that there is no place for these kind of players in world football anymore?
There is always place for people who can't stop scoring.
I disagree with Elvin completely. Some teams are actually being gifted by having predators such as Trez. Someone who can make a goal out of exactly NOTHING. But his style of play is not alike Inzaghi's. Trez is immobile for most of the match time, showing his magic in one moment. He doesn't put much pressure on his direct defender. He isn't fast and active in the opponent's penalty area. But if the defenders let him have the slightest chance in front of their goal, Trez won't miss it. Inzaghi on the other hand is active for the whole 90 minutes. The defender who's marking him is being tortured the entire match. Just look at the numerous times he's being offside in a game. You can compare him to Drogba in terms of putting pressure on the opponent's defense. He's not as strong as Drogba physically but he makes up for it with his speed and persistence. Trez is a far better finisher than Pippo though. I dare say the best in the world when it comes to finishing.

you have it backwards

people never criticize del piero the way our other players get criticized. and in this case, it was not uncalled for -- it was appropriate. and either way no one said anything bad about del piero either

these guys usually get the most stick from the same members.

I don't give them much criticism because I don't expect much from them. But you've got some members criticizing Molinaro even though he's a limited player. I don't know, maybe they think he cab produce Roberto Carlos like performances It's not Molinaro, or Gryegra fault that they have limited skill and talent. you can't alter the genes of players (yet)

It' the coach and managment's fault for not seeing the limitations of such players and adressing the issues.

So True bro ive been saying that for ages, some members here think Amauri will continue this form forever & like its so easy to replace a striker of Trez's calibre.Ill calmly remind all the haters about their snide comments when Trez scores decisive goals against Juve if he's sold.

Of course they do. If someone plays bad, he'd get his fair share of criticism no matter if it's Del Piero, Buffon or Molinaro. Del Piero's had lots of severe criticisms in the last weeks, some of them were fair while some were not. If you haven't seen much of this in the last few seasons, that's because Del Piero has been one of our best players in the recent years if not the best.

Elvin didn't say anything bad about Trez either. This is why I said bringing up Del Piero to this was uncalled for. One might not be a fan of Del Piero's playing style, one might not like him keeping the ball too much and Elvin might not be a fan of Trez's style who always needs to "get service" to score. It's just a matter of opinion or taste.

you're either illiterate or choosing not to read what elvin wrote

he described him as parisitic

now is that a compliment?

Elvin was obviously mad and angry of this poor performance. It happens. I don't believe he dislikes Trezeguet it is just a frustration just like too many of us are or were frustrated with Tiago, Camoranesi, Chiellini, Molinaro etc... it happens.
