Yes but his presence on the field alone frees up other players on our team allowing them to score as well. That’s why I listed the percentage so high. He's like kobe, even if he is doubled, he can either score or give walton or odom the opportunity to get paid.

I'm also waiting on our own juventuz.com "pundits/trez haters" to fall down on him and say that he will not be missed and this is perfect for seba to come into his own as well

I'm waiting for someone to say that this is typical of trez coming off a big season and falling to injury. Whilst not realizing that this is a professional sport where bodies are banged around for a a living. Not like golf where you wear slacks and walk around with out any physical contact.

I don't think he's injury prone, I think he puts a lot of strain on his body thus resulting in injuries.

If only he just stood around around more instead of running so much*. :D

*I love Trez and I'm gutted that he is injured because he will most certainly be missed.

but we can't loan anyone now. Which means we have to count on the 3 forwards we have (+ 2 if you want to count Gio + Marchionni in some kind of 4-3-3)

and by the time January window opens he's be almost back anyway, so it would be pointless to loan someone

ya i don't think we will get much probelms because we only got 3 real strikers... u can count gio too or even field a 4-3-3 with camo and neddy wide and only one striker.... sure we will miss him as he can score a goal out of nothing but we will have him back when the season gets really though

If you gave Trez two half chances, he would almost certainly take one of them.

These guys will need more chances to score than Trez, though that is offset slightly by the fact that the other strikers can create chances for themselves.

of the 3, I think Iaquinta really has to step up...he I believe is more similar to Trez than the other 2, and I really hope that he starts to bring his A-game...needs a goal really badly to get his confidence up

Big blow, good thing we got Amauri.
I still remember people saying we didn't need a forward, I for one am pleased now that we did get one.

Our other 3 strikers will get enough time to prove their worth now, hope they stay injury free.

Juventus hitman David Trezeguet has undergone successful surgery on both knees this morning.

The French ace suffered a tendon tear during the Old Lady's Champions League clash with Zenit St Petersburg last week.

And while doctors Giuliano Cerulli and Flavio Quaglia were operating on the right knee, they also took the chance to address a meniscus problem in his left.

The procedure took an hour and a quarter in total and Trezeguet will now require a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

Early indications are that Trez will be back at Claudio Ranieri's disposal by the end of January 2009.

In the meantime, the injury may give Vincenzo Iaquinta or Sebastian Giovinco the chance to shine on the big stage.
