But I'm really disapointed with....no, not Trez, of course, but with most users here and their player ratings. The use of the word "invisible" sickens me TBH. Everyone knows what type of player Trez is, how he plays and what he does best. In the last games he barely ever recieved a useful ball. Apart the match against Napoli, I can't blame anything else on him, in the Napoli game he really played under-par. He's not getting service and that's what makes him "invisible". Out of all the players on the pitch he's the one who's most dependable on the team and if he fails, then the team failed. If you want him to be everywhere and try and build up play than forget about him being at the right place, at the right time, when that ball finally reaches him in a game and ends in a guaranteed goal. Trez is an asset in attack but he needs others to work for him, if you can't understand that than don't write player ratings.

What makes it worse, IMO, is the fact Trezeguet has completelly changed his approach on the pitch this season and very rarely is that noticed. He runs much more, puts pressure on defenders and goes back to help out on defending corners. When have you ever seen Inzaghi in his own half?

Forza Trezeguet, end of rant.

All out strikers always get this ciritcism and it is unfair in some ways.If someone like Drogba or Rooney gets it,then its understandable because they do a lot more than just death touchs, but if Trezeguet scores one goal in the entire match and spends the other 89minutes like Mr.Invisible, then his job is done and he shouldnt be criticised.

But then again, because Trezeguet has added things to his overall game,it has probably made people expect more from him than just death touches.

Well, not much to say. This is David, this is world-class. He was invisible all night but when chance came, only one, he just took all of it with a single touch. I can not find a better definition of an assassin like this.

Well said, mate. I have always defend Trez - he is one of those classic 9 that if he has the ball in front of the kepper you better start to shout that goal.

    I love you, Trezeguet :touched:

Benzema, Sagna, Frey Out As Trezeguet Finally Gets Chance

France coach Raymond Domenech has been hit with a triple blow ahead of his side's friendly with England this week with Karim Benzema, Bacary Sagna and Sebastian Frey all withdrawing from the squad.

Benzema will no doubt be seen as the chief loss to les Bleus, as the striker has been in sensational form for Lyon this season. He picked up an injury during his side's win over Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

In-form Juventus striker and Serie A's leading goal-scorer David Trezeguet has been called up as the 20-year-old's replacement despite many suggestions of a reported rift between he and coach Domenech.

Meanwhile, Bacary Sagna scored his first ever goal for Arsenal against Chelsea to put his side a goal up at Stamford Bridge, only to then go off injured and have to watch from the sidelines has Dider Drogba hammered home twice to turn the match on its head.

Insult was quite literally added to injury, when it was announced the full-back's ankle knock will rule him out of the midweek clash with England. Lyon right-back Anthony Reveillere has been announced as his replacement.

Fiorentina's goalkeeper Sebastian Frey - who has been in exceptional form as of late - is the third to pull out today, though no official reason has been disclosed. Hugo Lloris of Nice has been called up in his place.

Even so, I doubt he'll get a starting spot.
i have the same feeling, but it would be sweet if Domenech does as we expect from him and gets trezi a run on 89 minute and he scores.

and about the invisible discussion. We know how the man plays his game and what do we expect from him. But this year i see him helping out a lot in the back, on multiple occasions i saw him chasing back and closing down. Moreover hes been more involved up front with little lay offs here and there. He is trying hard and i think its will not be recognized as much of his goal scoring because thats where his excels obviously.

I don't think he can reject the call up. As long as he is not retired, if he gets a call up and refuses to play then he could be banned a few league matches.

at least that's what I think the rule is.
