The general feeling is he is the best . Ok fine , just a little then .
i do not think trez is the best in the world, i have never claimed to feel that way. however, i think it is a crying shame to underrate his ability and his eye for goal. trez is a special kind of player, sure he may not beat men for pace, sure he may not beat players with exceptional skill and sure he may not beat the offside trap and lay the ball into supporting midfielders but 9 times out of 10 he will beat the opposing defender to the ball in the box and beat the keeper with a well taken strike. that IS a special skill he is a finisher born and bred and i would not trade his years of service for anyone else. he has been simply superb for us in all of his time here

David Trezeguet is convinced that his Juventus can compete for the Scudetto this season.

The Frenchman, who has had a blistering start to the season scoring ten goals in 12 Serie A games, gave a frank refusal when asked if he would be happy with a fourth place finish at the end of the season.

He said, "If I have to be honest, no, I would not be satisfied, that's the way I am. I am optimistic and I have been since the start of the season."

This Sunday on matchday 13, Juventus face Palermo at home and then another big clash looms against AC Milan at the San Siro that will further test the 30-year-old's conviction.

He added, "For all those players that played in Serie B to be back playing in certain stadiums is thrilling. Milan-Juve is like a Champions League match and will be another big test for us after the Inter match."

Juventus have already drawn their three games against the front runners, Inter, AS Roma and Fiorentina.

The return to the top flight has certainly reinvigorated the 30-year-old forward who also had some words of comfort for those who have yet to settle in at the club.

"When I arrived at the club I had Inzaghi and Del Piero playing ahead of me and I was still able to become who I am today. Tiago and Almiron just need to concentrate on their football and not what is said off the pitch."
