Yep, they apparently want to reduce his basic wage by 1.3 million. Which sounds pretty pathetic by the looks of it. Forget Trezeguet, anybody on this roster would've reacted this way to such a proposal. It's pretty sad they've treated Didier the way they did, but he's been with us for just one season, imagine if they can do this to Trez, the seniormost member of the team with Del Piero (apart from the likes of Biri) if I'm not mistaken, then they can do this anybody else and that's pretty scary when you come to think of it.
Really ? by 1.3 mil? That is pretty pathetic, and I guess Trez did have a point. They were forcing him to move out.

I am one of those people who wouldn't mind losing Trez for the right money considering our future plans and his current age, which although is still within prime range, does pose a financial threat of his value on the market significantly decreasing.

Regardless though, i would never have wanted Trez to part ways with us in this manner. In rage, anger and dissapointment. And even perhaps feelings of betrayal. Such a sad ending to great story.

Unfortunately in the real world, shit happens, companies often fire their best employee for no fucking reasons. Footballing world is not better than the actual world we live in.
one of the main reasons for our success in the past is that we would never do stuff this way.Simply cause this is a team, what do you think the other players would feel ?And Trezi is a big figure in the club

And FYI this treatment is dished out against balza and camo and those are the ones who've been vocal about it.

@vlatko-great post my man but i gotta spread teh love around

i am still absolutely stunned by al of this, if trezegol goes to lyon, barca, wherever we will all be sitting here next season lamenting the fact we let europes top goal-getetr go so easily, so cheaply and with so little respect for everything he has done for us.
this, quite simply is an outrage and i do not blame trez for his reaction

fuck secco, fuck the BOD. How can they go from a great deal of keeping Buffon, to getting rid of a fan favourite and the deadliest player i know in the box. It makes no sense. I wish the Agnelli's could come out of their graves and shoot whoever is in charge now.
Even a 5 year old knows you shouldn't sell a guy who has never complained about the club and who has scored 140 goals in 7 seasons, despite getting injured quite often and for long periods of time.

But the name Trezeguet means something in football while the names Venittucci, De Ceglie and Bianco mean nothing.

We don't know if Trez wanted a pay increase. But we know he was offered less then he was getting earlier. That is an insult. He is 29 and he can still be as deadly as he was 4 or 5 years ago. He's not some 36 years old veteran noone wants and who has no choice but to accept a pay decrease
yeh i see what you mean but tbh, if he wants to be paid as much as buffon, play as hard as him, trez has been lazy nd inconsistent this season, which no one can deny. and him asking for a wage increase is a bit unfair compared to buffon imo.

Its a financial thing. We gotta cash in on Trez and bring in younger talent. Who? I dont know maybe The Hunter. I think we're looking long term, and at times decisions like these have to be made. Its annoying but it could still work out for the best.

true...Trez was bound to leave sometime soon. But i would have kept him an extra year so he teaches JKH the tricks of the trade and some things you learn with experience, so that when Klass comes into the team he would be prepared and be a goal scoring machine.

It would take longer than a season to be taught and get used to a different style of football. Interesing times to come.So lets all watch this space.
