I still think Darmian's performances at Torino were/are underrated here.

But  I'll trust your words, eventhough I never liked Ganso to begin with :D
You know people used to say back then that Ganso was the next big thing and Neymar was just another Robinho.

Funny thing is if you watched Santos games you could see it. The guy pre injury was a mix of Zidane and Riquelme.. What a vision and what a passing ability. What a waste of talent.

So it's 24mln euros for Danilo?

Man, Real surely knows how to sell a player. They bought him for 30 and sell him for 24 after he was dogshit for them.

Well.... I hope we're able to revive him.

€24m are nothing in todays market, can turn out to be a absolute steal.
24 isnt nothing for us though, we have lots of players in our starting line up that cost less - Barzagli, Bonucci, Khedira, Alves/Licht, Mandzukic, Cuadrado (?). We dont spend over 20m that often, usually once or twice in a summer. Besides those wages make him literally immovable if he flops, we'd have trouble finding someone to take him on loan let alone buy him

Sadly we can't build a complete team on low cost signings.

The stronger we become the more likely it is that we have to spend to improve. We can add the odd Bosman but overall we need to spend, especially for younger players.

He is a risk but I think the rumoured price is worth it. He has a big reputation, other top teams are interested so I think we could still sell him if he flops. I think he would be easier to sell than a Melo, Martinez, Hernanes or Amauri.

Have faith in Marotta and Paratici so far it was only media speculation, doubt they would really give such a high wages to enigma player like Danilo. Maybe his salary will be dependable on the performances?

People rely on Danilo a whole lot already. It's like his years at Real did not happen. I'm at least a bit worried which Danilo are we gonna see here, the one from Porto or the one from Real. I don't see Real as one of the clubs that ruins talents, though, unlike Inter.

I'm a bit sceptical about this move and it ain't cheap for sure. It's a huge risk that we're doing plus we'll also making him one of our top earners, or among top 6.
Real don't ruin talent but sometimes talent does not work well there. Look at Sneijder for example, he was just ordinary there and did a monster season at Inter afterwards.

Rarely it happens there, though, unlike how it happens at Inter.

And yeah, you're right. But all I'm saying is that Darmian also fell apart in Manchester while he was great for Torino. Yer people laughed at those rumors.

I definitely agree with us having to spend if we want to improve or keep up with European elite, I was just disagreeing that 24m is nothing to us, it's probably half of our transfer budget :D If he flops badly and is benched by soon to be grandfathers Licht/Barzagli, I don't expect anyone will want to cover his 5m salary and we know what usually happens when brazilians are asked to take a paycut to start a fresh challenge, we'd be begging for him to accept China

At the numbers mentioned, at least we are getting a discount on Danilo for his loss of form. All the rumours about Darmian, point to us having to pay more than what United paid Torino :D
Danilo earns around 3 million at Real currently(?) I don't see us giving him much of a hike. Not when we are paying his transfer fees.

Rumors are 20-24mln + bonuses for Danilo while his wages would be 4-5mln/season. :D
