This is not the match to make significant judgements about him as a player.
I think a reasonable argument can be made that part of the reason he's so uncertain and lacking in confidence right now, is because it's March, and this was only his 3rd start for Juventus -- and the team was set up to play the worst match I can recall them playing in what feels like 5 years. He also started playing his off-side, which probably didn't help his comfortability a whole lot.
I wasn't calling for him to play every game earlier this season, but at one point I did mention that if he didn't get some more match time, and we ended up having an injury crisis in late February/early March when we had this run of tough fixtures, that we could suffer for it.
Bit surprised too, that some are so keen to shit all over a 21 year old who has barely played. Especially early Leo supporters, that's ironic.
He was pretty much utter shit today, but treating Rugani as if he's the reason we almost blew a 3-0 lead against a sad sack Inter is a bit ridiculous. Also, while he's not got blistering pace, he clearly had a physical issue throughout ET, not quite sure when his cramping or strain started.
Tough day for the kid, but he'll improve.
