I remember people laughing at Barzagli and praying he'd leave after his first season, now he's our best CB and one of the best in Europe.

Bonera is far off that standard but he's not as bad as most of you are making him out to be, he'd be a good sub imo

He will come, say that we've 31 scudetti, calciopoli was a scam and leave in the winter. That's how Marotta rolls.
For the next season it will be one of Stankovic/Cambiasso, their contracts run out in june 2014.

Why are you people getting so worked up about a free agent ?

We currently are in the market for Higuain and Diamanti. Those two and Llorente are massive upgrades to our frontline. But we cannot get more players in. Thinking about a future replacement of Barzagli will be a next year issue. Its very clear such a player will commodate a fee higher then 10mil, wich we dont have this summer.

Marrone isnt good enough for juventus. His quality is miles behind any central midfielder, he's miles behind Pogba, and has the disadvantage that he needs to be covered by other players. Marrone doesnt give enough quality to the team to warrant personal bodyguarding of the other cm's, like we do with pirlo. Pogba in that position and we suddenly get so much better.

Marrona as a centreback, is big liability. he has decent games and can play the ball like bonucci, but he's not good in anticipating and intercepting, and is severely lacking in duel power to become a true juventus centreback.

We should sell marrone to a team for whom he is a quality midfield asset.

Now, when chiello fell out, we had severe issues. There is caceres, but the odd chance will happen 2 cb's are injured. On that occasion, we need another CB. This CB is by no mean a starter Cb, but should be a reliable experienced player.
Bonera fits that cathegory. A player with experience that is the second backup. He can come in the team and provide temporary cover and isnt a liability such as marrone is due to experience. Yeah he is not as good as the others, but he is decent enough, and probably wont complain about not getting games.

Bonera is the ideal second backup CB for this summer.

Really sad to say it but i could see this happening. I may hate him a bit less than Lucio, yet this is somehow worse...cause we would have Bonera :shifty:

Conte,a man who has an ambition to win cl and take juve to the next level would request for players such as bonera and lodi ? Seems legit
Padoin, Peluso, Lucio, Giaccherini, do they tell u stg?

Conte may not have asked for Bonera. But he definitely gave his OK for it. He has a lot of bargain power in Juve right now. His opinion might be as important as of Nedved, Marotta, Paratici, only being under Agnelli.

And he absolutely love these average Italian guys who play hard and don't complain for being backups. He really loves them.
