I don't think Bonera is so horrible. He could be a decent CB.

Also he may have the required experience to play both as SW or RCB.

I think Peluso will be used a lot as Chiellini's backup, Caceres as Barzagli's and Bonera as Bonucci's.

I just feel he's horrible when playing in the left side of defense. On the right side he's OK.

Anyway, let's not blame Marotta for any signing this season. I'm pretty sure all players who will arrive are Conte's requests. Diamanti, Lodi and Bonera as experienced and reliable backups.
