He was 100% trying to get a reaction from Neymar in order to draw a yellow and a suspension. He used up every opportunity he could until he got a yellow himself and then he calmed completely.

I thought maybe he was going to be a double agent and might take a red but he stopped immediately and then I realized what he was trying to do.
The stupid thing was that the yellow he got ended up being for a pointless challenge on Iniesta on the half way line.

Amazing how he completety changed the way to press after the yellow. Before the yellow most of those tackles were pretty retarded tho. :D
He could have avoided the challenge on Iniesta, but he was trying to piss of Neymar. And it worked. To be honest it's the first time I've ever seen Neymar bullied into obedience. Great performance from Dani Alves.

Yeah I was actually more worried about Neymar than Messi coming into the game, but he was virtually invisible all game long & Alves is a big reason why

I think he wouldve enjoyed the company of Tevez or Vidal or Caceres, but our core guys have always been down to earth northern Italians and even our SA guys like Higuain, Dybala and Sandro seem prett quiet, which probably means its hard for someone like Alves to fit in

He's a freaking Barca legend, of course he's not gonna celebrate.

Imagine Chiellini goes to Real and celebrates against us, we'd be furious and rightfully so

yeah, I just don't think dani is really happy here. something is off.. and his comments about life in juve reaffirms that
What comments?

I've seen nothing to suggest he's unhappy here.

Just because most of our players don't abuse social media doesn't mean they're quiet or not as fun.

I don't think he celebrated any of the goals with the team.
I noted that too when I rewatched the game. The first goal he clearly runs back into the half and doesn't celebrate the second either. Couldn't tell with the pictures on the third. Can't see any issue with that looking at how much he won with them.

Shame he couldn't get Neymar carded but it sure was a decent effort!

People freaking out because he didn't celebrate against a team that had given him pretty much every domestic trophy possible.

Wow
