A key aspect of a good conventional deadlift, is building for explosive strenght, which gives 105-125kg competitors a surprising good burst sprint the first 50 meters.
In a crowded area, like where you live or work, i lose little pace crushing trough a crowded area. Momentum is a nice thing. Your submissive physique wont.

Yes and no. World class powerlifters often have surprising good sprint speed the first 50 meters. They will still be outsprinted by guys who regularly, you know, sprint.
