Should I prepare myself for the probability that this guy and whomever the DS he brings in are worse than Junktoli, and that Tudor is worse than Motta?
Yes. We are still in a decline and have been getting worse each season. I don't expect things to get better unless the club is sold. The club is still making the same mistakes and it's clear that nothing has improved.

Obviously I hope it doesn't play out this way but it's hard to expect anything else.

This is what I imagine happening in Comolli's office:

Senior manglement: Do X

Comolli:
"Sorry I don’t understand. Can you forward me your notes and an executive summary so I can shoot it up the chain? Pop something in my diary so we can discuss and then I’ll circle back once I have an answer from the C-Suite on that view. Then, after we draft up a response paper, can you put some notes into a dozen or so slides, chuck together some minutes, and I’ll talk to Francois so he can book John in on our thoughts.

Once he’s across it we just need to brief the team on our view, put their responses in a spreadsheet and summarise the feel in the room, sense check that with the group seniors, put that into the draft PowerPoint once it’s got feedback from the relevant senior stakeholders, and finally put it into the next quarterly meeting for the executive. Once they approve it’ll just be a matter of you getting the top line info into a presentation and touring it around the various monthly team updates so everyone’s across it and making sure you monitor feedback with a bi-weekly checkin for the first six months."

Got to admit things aren’t looking too bright and i’m not even sure what the plan really is, the mercatto we are having so far definitely doesn’t reek of a team that is aiming to immediately get back to the top, but fortunately we still have a bit over a month of mercatto left where he might hopefully manage to assemble a stronger squad, thus far has a bit of an excuse considering he only joined Juve earlier this summer, so i guess time(albeit limited) is still on his side to prove us doubters wrong.

So I see the overly optimistic defenders are using the “Vlahovic is blocking the mercato” excuse to justify our ridiculous inaction and inertia on the market.

Btw, pre-season training begins in 3 days. And we know how much needs to be fixed. And us doing nothing for weeks on end only means we will end up overpaying and panic buying in the final days of the mercato. Again.
