I didn't hear about this at all. Not that he's going to win anyway, but it's just interesting.

- Issuing tax credits and government benefits in cryptocurrency, and
- Incentivizing cryptocurrency operations and start-ups to come to New York City.
6 is the only one that makes sense.
Even the crypto-friendly politicians are lagging behind the curve in their assumption that the payment usecase was still the focal point of the space. The market has long ago understood to use commercial fintech solutions like VISA to connect vendors and buyers who want to pay in crypto. Everybody who wants to pay with crypto, does it already, the vendors don't even know. If politicians want the target audience they should push for crypto 401k with the tax reliefs or that the SEC stop hounding...I mean 'protecting' american cryptosexuals so much. I mean half the exchanges, platforms or otherwise funny games to play are unavailable to US for the sake of 'protection'
I've been thinking a lot about how much of a gift is wasted on @swag. Millions of cryptosexuals around the world would kill for that perk, and he is being a total brainlet throwing it away. Shameful.

even with my teaching job, i was making 6 figures by 3rd year, got taxed close to 30%, same thing every during my first 2 years.
first year: 95k taxed about 20k
2nd year: 99k taxed about 20-25k
3rd year: 104k taxed about 20-30k
now when i applied for the EI i was rightfully owed they made me jump thru so many hoops just to get my gibs of 500 weekly, pieces of shites
gonna send my hard earned money to israel and shit

nah bro cause I was teaching in the arctic, no one wants to go there and it's stupid expensive to live there that's why there's a huge spike in salary for all salaries up there , for example in British Columbia and Quebec first year teachers make 35k, Ontario about 45k, Alberta is the highest at 65k first years.
also teachers get shite support up there too, glorified babysitters like @GordoDeCentral puts it and i agree, shit i've seen grade 8 inuit students that were illiterate, all they knew was to write their name, sad as fuck, wasn't the norm, but that's inexcusable for any school to have kids showing up regularly for years and not know how to read and write at 13.

However, I think education was a lot better 10, 15, 20 years ago. IMO the quality has gone down to shit. It's becoming common that kids in 8th grade don't know some letters and they are pretty much retarded when it comes to simple basic stuff. Attention span, thanks to phones, has gone to shit too. Gonna be fun to see these generations rule in the future.

Well, being a US citizen in Portugal doesn't really help. The US IRS is one of the few countries that taxes your ass wherever you go. Elon Musk cannot take a dump on Mars without the tax man in the US needing to know about its market value increase.
I don't think Muricans know how much this follows you. Long ago I tried to flip on the investment part of my Portuguese bank account services ... filing the usual paperwork that proves you aren't a complete noob who will lose his family to sexual slavery because of leveraged options trades. The local banks won't touch you. Anything that might even accrue 0.01% annual interest or gain is the third-rail for brokerage apps, banks, etc. here. The Americans send in their goons with sunglasses and guns and will wreck their sh*t up if they catch them handing over any capital or dividend gain that doesn't have Uncle Sam's palms all over it.
It's quite literally like being a financially banned citizen. You become a fintech leper. It's like being the famous ex-girlfriend of a global mobster trying to get a hookup on Tinder.
The alt is to reject your US citizenship, which is getting more expensive to do ... and not to do.
