People are so stupid about this situation it's getting out of hand. Anybody with a bit of brain cells could understand, that he's doing exactly what he did with us, which is waiting if we can strenghten our squad before the window closes. He does the exact same in Man Utd, to see if they're bringing anybody in and now he even refused to come back to the squad for pre-season as a protest for their owners, to literally force their owners to react somehow, which almost immediately brought Casemiro in and now they're trying to bring Anthony from Ajax as well, alongside the players they've signed already in Malacia, Martinized and co. He isn't that stupid that he wants to play with bunch of juniors in Man Utd and see them not to care and fail to qualify to CL. Same in here, he saw the aging squad and failed UCL opportunities and realized we ain't getting much better in next couple of seasons, so he saw his chance of moving forward.

He never said nothing but nice things about us, but like i said above there and im sure he feels the same way about MU, but he ain't gonna play with the bunch of unprofessional twats in there, which they're getting rid of(mostly their own "lads" on their own island). Shaw is benched, Maguire is benched, Greenwood is jailed, Mctominay is soon benched and there's only Sancho that actually has some quality. Rashford is going to be benched right when they get that Anthony guy around. Then they got bunch of winners in Varane, Casemiro and Ronaldo. They got those Ajax players + Ten Hag, who seems to be demanding af and there's better enviroment for success compared to last year, when you could see that nobody seemed to care.

Ronaldo played it nicely for the whole Man Utd. He raised some voice around of possibly leaving, like letting everybody know that he's around but prob directly not talking to teams. He prob told the MU football club owners that he's going to leave if there's no a complete wipe of the squad, to get rid of the shit they've had for years. So it was either MU getting stronger or him leaving, which meant he would be playing with a better squad next year regardless.

Im pretty damn sure he has no reason to leave MU now after all the signings are done. There's no UCL, who gives a crap since there's World Cup during the xmas. He will extend with MU after this season, after they qualify for the UCL for the next season and he will bang multiple goals on the way. People who really thought he would be moving to Marseille or something to play UCL are just bunch of idiots tbh. He would only move to absolute biggest clubs in the world and could have done it straight away, if and when he lowered his salary low as it was needed to play UCL if that was the "real" goal. He would have been there already, but he wants to see how the squad is in the last day of the window. Really not more complicated than that.

You forget that even having a flabby Argie Midget at Paris chipping away at his career CL accolades is probably living more rent free in his head than any potential league championship ring.

That said, don’t get me wrong. He’s a great professional and I have no complaints for how he decides to operate. Just getting into his head at what motivates someone where he is in his career right now.

I think it ain't just CL, but more like a in big picture Ronaldo wants to stay on top long as he can. Man Utd last season weren't on the top.

No, we won't. Fuck him. No ambitious club actually wants him - he can go enjoy an extended vacation back home, or maybe some pathetic Ligue 1 Uber Eats club will take pity on his obsession to participate in the CL and appease him.

He's a 37 year old Toxic Prima Donna, and no serious club should actually be going for someone like him.

Being an all time great also means knowing when your time at the highest level is up. Seems this guy doesn't have that self-awareness.

All the big clubs stayed away from him this summer, should be a clear sign really.

his time wouldn't necessarily have to be up if he played his cards right. his time as a 30m/year player that dictates how he trains, when he plays, what position he plays probably is over. if he wasn't such an expensive diva that's forcing a move for the 2nd summer in a row, I'm sure many coaches would love to have such a weapon up their sleeve, his aerial ability and shooting technique alone are major threats.

Agreed, but he has played his card poorly since he left Real Madrid. And then he chose to leave Juve for a shit United, and now he's crying about them being shit and wants out.

Everyone with a well functioning brain could've seen it would be a bad choice going back there. But when he wanted out of Juve no other big club wanted him, hence he chose United. Apparantly City was a possibility, but it was always half hearted from their side.

Another problem is, when you play with a soon to be 38 year old Ronaldo it's like being a man down when the opponents have the ball. There's no defensive work or tracking back, everything has to go through him. When you try to build a team that just doesn't work anymore with his age. If he was in his prime it would be different, but thats at leats a handful years ago.

When he joined Juventus he had been the best player in the world.

yeah, Ronaldo @ 5-7M is an asset, even with all the diva baggage.
