Sus, but I think Ronaldo is at the end of his big money career so now it's about glory and history. Sporting is still reasonable for that. I don't see any of that possible at Napoli.

The desperation is sad. I wonder if the issue is technical or financial. Can’t imagine all these clubs saying no for technical reasons, even if he’s a hard player to build around. But I can see Ronaldo not wanting to take too much of a pay cut.

The way Ronaldo left Juve and now Man Utd doesn't help his cause, because clubs will just think he will do the same. Suppose Napoli finish 5th, he would ask to leave. I'm surprised he wanted to leave Juventus so badly. Did hiring Allegri really push him out? Or was it Messi going to PSG?

This is exactly it, combined with episodes of things like slapping the phone out of that guy's hand makes clubs second guess paying big wages to someone.

He wanted out before Allegri even came back. There was a whole piece in the athletic about his transfer to Man U. He was flirting with clubs the summer before he left. Seems like he quits the moment adversity hits.

Probably concerned with his legacy and wanting to leave as much of one as possible knowing that his career will soon be coming to an end. Because of this he probably doesn't have the patience for clubs to turn things around and miss out on the CL. The problem with that mentality is that it makes him a player that cares about his legacy more than his team and that is obviously not a team first player.
