Can't believe that people are actually shitting on GOAT lmao.

We failed him, simple as that. I hold nothing against CR7 for what transpired the last few years. He was brought in to help the club take that final step for the CL, but instead he was forced to carry us in the league.
Nonsense with the "we failed him" talk. The team failed as a whole.

Did we also fail Cuads, Buffon, Chiellini, etc.?

Yes.

The club failed every well performing player and fans with their approach ever since signing Higuain really.

The reason why Ronaldo is used in this most often is because he is by far the best player and also we needed him more than he needed us.

Even lying now. He might be salty.

Today's outcome explains why Pascal Ferré's statements last week, when he claimed that I confided in him that my only ambition was to finish my career with more Golden Balls than Lionel Messi.

Pascal Ferré lied, used my name to promote himself and the publication he works for. It is unacceptable that the person responsible for awarding such a prestigious prize can lie in this way, in absolute disrespect for someone who has always respected France Football and the Golden Ball. And he lied again today by justifying my absence from the Gala with an alleged quarantine that has no reason to exist.

I always congratulate those who win, within the sportsmanship and fair-play that guide my career since the beginning, and I do it because I am never against anyone. I always win for me and for the clubs I represent, I win for me and for those who love me. I don't win against anyone.

The biggest ambition of my career is to win national and international titles for the clubs I represent and for my country's National Team. The biggest ambition of my career is to be a good example for all those who are or want to be professional footballers. The greatest ambition of my career is to leave my name written in gold letters in the history of world soccer.

I will end by saying that my focus is already on Manchester United's next game and on everything that, together with my teammates and our fans, we can still achieve this season. What about the rest? The rest is just the rest...

Okay so the club failed all of our performing players. Cristiano deserves no special sympathy.

As for the latter statement, he chose us because we were the best opportunity for him, not because he wanted to help us out. And hindsight shows that we really did not need him at all, arguably.

True, we have suck with him and also without him. Though I give him little blame to sucking with him. Thing is by the league table we suck more without him this year. Max resume says >>> Sarri and way >>>>> than Pirlo but we're in a worst position than under those two guys. Hopefully Max can overcome Juve's present issues and get 4th place.

LOL waiting for posters here probably saying he's crying because he won't be able to score any more goals that year in CL. The guy wants to WIN and he is a proven WINNER!

What about the moments in Max' last year where CR7 would be pressing and waving for others to join him to no avail. I understand that wasn't what Max wanted and no player should dictate the style of play over a manager. This guy was no normal player. So maybe lay blame for Juve shortcomings to CR7 for not following Max's plan? LOL no way.

In all sports good/great coaches can adapt to the players abilities they have at hand and adjust their preferred style of play to get the most out of these players. You got the GOAT at hand and we all know Max did very little to work along with CR7 from the get go. Honestly it made no sense to me at the time. Right now Max has his system and enough quality to get 4th place. I LOL hard when suggested Max needs this player, and that player, to succeed. If you got a round block trying to fit into a square hole, change the hole to round.

Jorginho finishing ahead of CR7 in the BDor ranking was hilariously bad, but tbh Ronaldo is crying too much about his placement. He was no way a top 3 player this year, Lewandowski, Messi, Benzema and Salah were all clearly superior.

ronaldo did great on an individual level, much better than benzema, especially if we just look at the total numbers and generously forget those matches when he failed when money time came (like porto return leg, or portugal's important qualifiers).

Given his defensive set piece play on the losing goal leading to that video, are you really going with this??

Context.

For all his crying in the moment, I felt he shouldered much of the blame of why Juve got knocked out by Porto at the end of the tie.

Okay, my misunderstanding swag. Exactly, yes you right CR7 did of course felt it was his fault which I guess it was. I was just pointing out as much he loves his individual feats, WINNING is what he is all about IMO. Maybe wouldn't be crying but losing regardless if his fault must have hurt him. Not enough players on this team have that trait.
