Maybe we should ask Ronaldo to take a paycut by half and give him a contract extension for another 2 years.
I tend to believe Ronaldo will be done playing at the highest level after Qatar 22, at least mentally. There's no point in extending his deal, we are better off paying his 30m now and give him a proper sending off while he's still got it.

CR7 creates heavy income and scores many goals. he has signed under the new rules, we have many players like Dybala that have contracts made in a way that we pay an extra 100% of what they earn in taxes and contribute close to zero.
CR7 will leave his mark in football history for ever.
Should he leave, we should heavily invest for a new prolific finisher anyway, prolly younger, we will propably pay more and get lesser performances.

Cosnisdering that:
Of course we should CR7's contract to 2023 given the chance. He is not the reason we have salary and budget issues, he earns his stay, we should focus at offloading Berna, Ramsey, Dybs, Arthur instead. You will see that after we do, CR's salary won't be an issue

The guy scores. The rest are the ones that should stop being centennial pussies and try to be up to par with him.

Luckily now we have another alpha in chiesa, who doesnt gives a fuck about the mediocrity around him and perform.

Talking about mediocre mentality, i hope allegri tackles this issue first. Since his last year here we played without heart, and the last 2 coaches made it even worst. This need to stop asap

117m > transfer fee
57.41m > yearly salary + tax (scudetto, no UCL qf)
57.41m > yearly salary + tax(scudetoo, no UCL qf)
57.41m > yearly salary + tax (4th place, no UCL qf)

289.23m euro already spent on him for the last 3 years with down down downtrend results, all the money that flushed to his bank account can give 1 pretty solid EFL Championship club. If this money spent to buy a whole club in EFL championship, with our young players loan out there, that club probably already in EPL ( and getting so much money from TV rights). And if manage well, will probably have net worth more than Juventus in 5 year time span after promoted to EPL

You don't want this CR7. What you really want the fresh CR7 from Man Utd

Where is the part where he made at least 1/3 of it back for us plus the 17% increase ticket sales (which didn't happen completely as planned for the year.. but that's nobodys fault and every club took a hit.)

I really think him coming to Italy has raised the level of Italian football. You can say whatever you want, but Italy winning EURO's and many Serie A players playing excellent tournament isn't coincidence, especially after the 2018 farce. Spain used to be the big dogs, then Neymar left and now CR7 and it means they just ain't winning anything anymore, whether it's NT or club wise. All these things matter, it just brings the attention, money and competition to the league because a superstar player is there and in this case, the GOAT is here.

What are the actual stats on what he has returned off field for us? I read 60m in shirt sales...but is there anywhere that tells us.

I dont understand how it is ronaldos fault for us not winning the CL or performing as well as we did before he joined. We brought in ronaldo, didn't improve the midfield, brought in sarri and pirlo as managers...how is this ronaldos fault?

20m per season for 2 seasons is a better scenario for us. At least if he wanted to leave next summer for whatever reason we still have some leverage.

Is it too much to ask for ronaldo to be a little less about "me" and a little more about the "team"? Step aside from free kicks and penalties, bring others into the game more, don't think you are 29 years old taking shots from 35 yards out...players for the team more.

Would rather have ronaldo score 25 goals total across all comps and have the same contribution from dybala, 20 from morata, 15 from chiesa etc...
