He needs 6.3 shoot/game to get 31 goals, while 12 of them is penalty so he actually only get 19 open play goals in serie A all season
The lower shoot per goal number but higher goals it tells the player is more prolific

So if we count his total game in Serie A this season (33 games played)= 33 x 6.3 = 207 shoots to get 19 goals (9.18% conversion ratio)
Lets compare with Immobile (37 games played), 14 penalty = 37 x 3.8 =140 shoots to get 22 goals (15.7% convertion ratio)
Werner this season (34 games played), 3 penalty = 34 x 3.6 =122 shoots to get 25 goals (20.4 convertion ratio)
And even Immobile and Werner still getting pretty high number of assists

As for Messi, his assists number is really high, it means beside he drive the team by his goals, he support the other strikers too
Those shooting % are one of the most useless stats and it has been discussed not just in here, literally everywhere in every sport. Only thing it helps if player has something like 20% converstion rate and he has scored the first 20 games with 10%, it's more likely to raise in another half. It's like save % on goalkeepers, the saves they need to make are not comparable because they shot quality is different, just like it is with the shots being taken from different angles, further from the goal and so on.

That goal Ronaldo scored against Lyon for example, from 25 meters on his left foot while having something like 15 players stacked in front of him isn't the shot most of the players are willing to take, especially on their weak foot and the conversion rate with that shot cannot be that high. If he never took the shot, wouldn't have never scored the goal either so..I can also say that Immobile for example has way more freedom around him, he doesn't get noticed that much as Ronaldo/Messi for example. That's also one of the reasons you seeing someone banging 20 goals in his first year, then never repeating it again because he gets noticed.

Shots per game is a meaningless stat, because it doesn't account for where the shot was taken from. Most of Ronaldo's shots are Hail Mary's way outside the box.

I just want to show, if he can get the same amount of goals with low number of attempts and spare some of that attempts to Dybala
Let's say with around 160 shots per season (5.x shoot per game) he can still getting 30 goals (because he still take the penalty), that another 50 shots he convert becoming deadly passes to Dybala who has around 10% convertion rate. That is an improvement of 6 goals for Dybala
With that in mind we will have a more happy relation and beautiful partnership upfront

For CR7, i hope he want to stay because without him we will lose significant quality upfront. At least another year to take us as far as possible in UCL

imagine hugging ronaldo from behind. consoling him after the cl exit. whispering in his ear everything will be alright, as you lightly caress his chisled jaw. then you go out to dinner with him to the finest restuarant in paris. after a night of fun dining the best foods, you go back to his yacht and finish the everning with a nice relaxing massage to his body with oil.

would be a cool story to tell my gf when i come back

again, how does Neymar and Ronaldo fit together anyway?
I dont know but its not really my job to see how they fit...
I guess Ronaldo will be on the left while Neymar will move into a central position or the other way around OR... Neymar sold to Barcelona and then Ronaldo fits right in...

Barça cant afford Neymar.
Well - They cant on paper but it might not stop them..
You know how they are strict on the whole FFP thing.. They threat and threat and then give you a an just for it to be lifted days later..
Lets say if Barcelona really want Neymar they would find a way (FFP or no FFP)
