At this pace he should win Ballon purely for carrying this team in the league. Sad to see in injury time when he sprints full speed to take throw-ins etc and the others just walk like we're up 4-0. Deserves so much better.

yes. we relied on tevez and vidal for goals in previous years. edit: and higuain too
Tevez and Vidal both performed at high levels, as long as most of their teammates.

This season the number of goals coming from midfielders and our other strikers is significantly lower.

What exactly is Sarri doing in training to fix this issue? This is the supposed attacking mastermind who was meant to transform this Juve into an entertaining, all-action goal-scoring. He is literally doing the exact opposite. We are creatively stunted and only rely on CR7 to save our asses time and again. It can’t last forever.

We had a midfield that could push forward and score goals. Also, we never relied solely on Higuain to score goals. If anything, he was constantly criticized and much maligned for not scoring enough relative to his transfer fee. You're confusing the Juve Higuain with the Napoli version, the one coached by the classless Chain Smoking Cancer currently tainting our bench.

Loin talking nonsense as always. Ronaldo has 20 of our 44 Serie A goals this year. 45.5% of our goals.

Last year Ronaldo was 21/70 or 30%

Tevez’s best was 20/72 in 2014/15, or 27.8%. Very similar lol.

Higuain’s best was 24/77 in 16/17, or 31.2%

Dybala’s best was 19/75 in 15/16 or 25.3%

Our highest 2 player % of goals was 35/77 in 16/17 by Higgy + Dybala or 45.5% just like Ronaldo alone this year.

We’ve got zero balance in attack under Sarri and the contribution outside Ronaldo and Dybala is rubbish. The two of them have 34/65 goals in all comps this year or 52.3%. These two have saved Sarri’s bacon with their brilliance all season.

how is it nonsense.

the question was have we ever been reliant on a player before, not WhO ScOrEd tHe MoSt GoALS. I gave an answer. you decided to read into something that wasn't implied (percentage of goals as opposed to influence/reliance) to suityour narcassist personality trait of always trying to one up everyone.

Someone asked “have we ever been so reliant on one player in our recent past?”

A retarded kitten answered yes, we have. We were reliant on Tevez and Vidal for goals according to this mentally challenged domesticated house cat. And then it cried foul when that was quickly shown to be nonsense.

Our scoring has always been vastly more spread out amongst the side. And a big fat  that we were ever majorly reliant on Vidal for goals. His best season he scored 18 of our 106 goals. Wow, much reliant, we wouldn’t have scored at all without him.

Reliance entails dependency. Up until this season, we have not been dependent on one single player to carry us through - it has always been a combination of players.
that's the way it is with ronaldo though. teams create for him, and their striker partners also work for him. just look at rooney or benzema with and without cr:
- rooney playing alongside ronaldo in 2008/09: 49 matches, 20 goals
- rooney after ronaldo moved to real: 44 matches, 34 goals
- benzema in cr's last year: 47 matches, 12 goals
- benzema without cr in '18/19: 53 matches, 30 goals

generally i don't care about who scores the goals as long as the team is winning. that being said, ronaldo scored all but 3 of our 13 league goals this calendar year. and that's strange to say the least.

I was looking to see what he had done at Real Madrid and their dependency on his goals. During their CL winning seasons, his best was 51/141 goals or 36% in 15-16. Their 2016-17 CL-League double he scored 42/173, less than 25%. So Madrid was definitely reliant on him, but they also scored a ton of goals aside from him and created a huge number of chances.

Ronaldo scoring a ton of goals right now is fantastic, but the issue is when our football creates zilch otherwise. Here, lately, we’re creating next to nothing but he is scoring almost every chance he gets. And no one else scores at all. It’s not a sustainable strategy. A poor game or two and we’re out of CL. A poor few games and we could fall of the pace in Serie A.

Our open play chance creation looks even more appalling when you see that 1/3rd of his goals this year are from the spot. 8 penalties already is kind of impressive. We’re good at drawing penalties. :tuttosport:

yeah, that's my biggest worry too. dybala and higuain has a combined league goal tally of ONE in 2020, ffs. that's unacceptable, period.

at least dybala looked dangerous yesterday.

Higuain needs someone to create for him to score. That needs to be Ronaldo. But that takes Ronaldo away from goal so its a net loss IMO. Dybala needs to start and gain some confidence bc hes close to being deadly but just needs to sink a few
