that's the way it is with ronaldo though. teams create for him, and their striker partners also work for him. just look at rooney or benzema with and without cr:
- rooney playing alongside ronaldo in 2008/09: 49 matches, 20 goals
- rooney after ronaldo moved to real: 44 matches, 34 goals
- benzema in cr's last year: 47 matches, 12 goals
- benzema without cr in '18/19: 53 matches, 30 goals
generally i don't care about who scores the goals as long as the team is winning. that being said, ronaldo scored all but 3 of our 13 league goals this calendar year. and that's strange to say the least.

Ronaldo scoring a ton of goals right now is fantastic, but the issue is when our football creates zilch otherwise. Here, lately, we’re creating next to nothing but he is scoring almost every chance he gets. And no one else scores at all. It’s not a sustainable strategy. A poor game or two and we’re out of CL. A poor few games and we could fall of the pace in Serie A.

Our open play chance creation looks even more appalling when you see that 1/3rd of his goals this year are from the spot. 8 penalties already is kind of impressive. We’re good at drawing penalties.
