If UEFA wants to suspend players for entirely harmless gestures, than they need to ban the fans hurling profanities and abuse at them first. I am just saying Simeone's and Ronaldo's situations aren't identical because some people think they are. Totally agree with what you said. It'd be illogical if he got banned.

what a mess. at the end of art. 11 it says "Breaches of the above-mentioned principles and rules are punished by means of disciplinary measures.", and disciplinary measures (art. 6) include basically everything, for example warning, fine, suspension, ban on football-related activities, etc. also, article 15 says "suspension for one competition match or a specified period for: (...) v. unsporting conduct; vi. provoking spectators; " simeone didn't provoke spectators, so that could make a difference.

even if he wasn't our player i'd say after what happened during the first leg, cr shouldn't be suspended.
