This is an awful statement. Basically they are saying "Well, this happened 10 years ago, and he is always the first to training and last to leave, so we're good. Nothing to see here."

That's twitter for you. So few characters, such little time. It's something the club shouldn't publicly be taking a position on. The mention of the elapsed 10 years sounds like an expression of doubt to me. Unreasonable doubt.

The tweet itself was pretty bad, no doubt about it. I’m speaking more about supporting Ronaldo in the broad sense.

Do it quietly then. Or at the very least, do not send out the most retarded series of tweets that I have ever seen from a football club. And that is really saying something.
