He was the only bright spot in the team in the last 3 years having excellent individual seasons even when the team sucked. He did his job professionally till the end and we are getting good transfer money for him too I dont harbour any ill will towards him. He wanted a new challenge, management wanted him off our books cause we are broke. Win win.

The optics of him getting a plane without any agreement LOOK bad although I think there was talks and close to an agreement before then but it looked bad. I appreciate what he did here and think he's done wonders for the club in terms of reach and popularity.

- Manchester United will pay around €20m plus add ons to Juventus for Cristiano as fee.
