I bet next summer they will go after big targets like Haaland and Vlahovic. Don’t see them buying Morata and whoever they bring in here in the next couple of days will most likely just be a temporary solution.
I'd hope so. With the 400m being injected into the club towards the end of this year and this freeing of wages, a big push next summer to envigorate the squad with young, talented players would be very nice.

He was the only bright spot in the team in the last 3 years having excellent individual seasons even when the team sucked. He did his job professionally till the end and we are getting good transfer money for him too I dont harbour any ill will towards him. He wanted a new challenge, management wanted him off our books cause we are broke. Win win.

The only fuck up here is the club's incompetent management leaving the departure of our star player to the very last minute and looking at Keane and Mandzukic as replacements.

He was a bright spot for sure, not the only bright spot. And he didn't exactly act professionally until the end. The optics of him getting a plane without any agreement LOOK bad although I think there was talks and close to an agreement before then but it looked bad. I appreciate what he did here and think he's done wonders for the club in terms of reach and popularity.

When COVID occurred, we just aren't the financial powerhouse that could take Covid losses on the nose with his wages. There was no way to plan for Covid and it put us in a very tough spot.

| CR7 > MAN UTD: HERE WE GO!

Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United, done deal and HERE WE GO! The agreement has been completed now.

- Manchester United will pay around €20m plus add ons to Juventus for Cristiano as fee.

- Cristiano has accepted Man United contract bid and he’s now set to sign paperworks once everything will be completed… soon.

- Medical to be scheduled in the next hours, CR7 is now in Lisbon in order to complete his move.

- Manchester City have left the negotiations in the last hours. To be clear: never agreed on personal terms, never sent any official bid to Juventus. Only verbal talks and NO agreement so City are out.

We have known about Covid and the financial situation since last year. We should have planned ahead for the departure of our star player. This should not be so last minute.
