so we possibly got 300+m to burn in 4 years time and instead of revamping our midfield with the likes of Pogba and Kante and seriously aiming for the CL, we'll upgrade our CF position which already has one guy too many? it's confirmed now, Beppe is the new Galliani

Agree, fucked up. But, we don't know who is going to leave this summer though.

You wouldn't want Ronaldo? Our prestige would rise as would our marketing
The money we spend on him would be made back easily
You also think we will get Ronaldo and sell all of our stars? I highly doubt he would agree to that
At most Sandro and Higuain will go

Marca "reports" that there was a gentlemans agreement that he could leave for 100mil for his preferred club as long as its not a direct rival. That's the only reason we even have a chance really.

My only question is, if he is available, why isn't United, City, Chelsea and co. totally after him whipping out their massive wallets?
The rumour is that he wants Juventus
He has a massive ego, he wants to be able to say I went there and we conquered he CL with a team that has been dreaming of it since the 90s

I'd sooner want our midfield fixed then play Ronaldo upfront with Can/Khedira-Pjanic/Bentancur-Matuidi/Sturaro behind him. Our chances to win CL would increase with Ronaldo on board, but I think if we invested in midfield, our chances to win CL would increase way more and those other options would also have resale value.

Besides the guy is an ass and I don't believe he'll make us as much money as people suggest, he is a money machine, but most of the time for himself. A high risk move, if we win the CL it's all worth it and beyond, if we don't (and that's the more likely scenario in my head), we've just taken a huge bet and lost.

These are strange times we're living in hey bro?

Hope you're keeping well?
It's incredible. We couldn't convince fucking Jovetic to join us - now we have a shot at Ronaldo :howler:

I'm doing well, been working three jobs for the past few months but am hopefully dialing it down after the summer. Busy as hell. How about you?

How can you be so sure about this? I strongly doubt those people pulling random numbers out of their asses.

And don't get me wrong, Id love to see him here.
He's the most marketable player on the planet and he'd be in our shirt, there would definitely be an increase of our brand overall

you mean move him from CM to AM? would be an interesting experiment, Max is the one guy i trust to pull something like that
Allegri will play Messi as regista, where he belongs.

It’s gaining traction all over the media now, with Di Marzio and Curva (most reliable for Juventus transfers) insisting we are ready to make the move. Exciting times indeed in this mercato.
It only takes Juve to take away the highlights from the World Cup.

yeah, but I doubt anyone has any idea how big of an increase, most of our commercial revenue are negotiated multi-year contracts, f.e. why would Adidas want to gift us a new shirt deal if they already have Juventus covered until 2022 with a stupid 20m/y contract? Worst case scenario, they'll make tons of money off Ronaldo shirts and will only pay Juve some pennies in additional royalty payments for selling more shirts than expected. By the time 2022 comes, Ronaldo will be wearing a different shirt.

Maybe we can convince them to cover part of the cost if Ronaldo switches over from Nike, but breaking that contract must be expensive as hell.

We go on the FIFA cover instantly. And with Ronaldo winning the next golden ball could help our image massively.
Player would like to join us and play alongside Ronaldo and our stars won't leave us any more.
These are just the short benefits of having the best player in the world

so Higuain is staying? I wouldn't call that a benefit.

Yeah, of course. I don't doubt this. But whether it's worth 120 Mio in wages over 4 years, I can't tell. I also don't know what his role in the locker room would be or what impact his arrival would have on other players such as Dybala.

Apparently the deal with adidas is different, we get less sponsorship money, but the sales revenue is ours (which should be around 50% of the price, taking off the production price)

But i still doubt that this would be a sh*tload of money. IMO the biggest benefit would be global exposure. That would make JJ way more attractive as a club and as a brand, resulting in more fans, better sponsor deals, more overall sales of almost everything (shirts, tickets, merch...)

the deal is: we get like 15% of the shirts sales but we get all the money from juvestores.

what i don't understand is why isn't juve breaking the contract with adidas and start doing the shirts themself. they have the perfect scenario: ronaldo !

there are more than capable folks who are thinking about these things over and over again and do the maths. that's why i'm thinking that even if we pay like 400 mils in 4 years for ronaldo it will be worth it and it won't lead to fuckin bankrupcy.

at the time Milan signed Ronaldinho, he also was arguably the greatest player of all time. didn't help them much, did it? Beppe is doing a Galliani, neglecting midfield over forwards for the third summer running and everyone seems to be super happy with it lol
