Well i m an optimst in RL, that beign said i was highly optimistic about upcoming season. So exited about new coach, new way of playing, young squad, some of deadwood gone... without going to some rant post. Lets just say, alot of things didn't go as planned. Hence so much dissapointments across fanbase. My biggest dissapoitment is defintely Douglas Luiz. I was thinking he's our creative spark that we need. What a waste...
Going to start by saying that if Douglas Luis later manages to miraculously go on a good run of form and also Nico Gonzalez somehow gets to stay fit for the second part of the season then we might be looking at it with a different perspective, but as it stands right now they both been useless despite the big price tags, which is why most, including myself, been a bit overly optimistic with our summer mercatto vote when seeing that we made significant investments to key positions, more so late on when we seemed blocked and lacking alternatives but then went on to sign all of Koop, Nico, Conceicao around the last week of mercatto, maybe causing at the time some recency bias, along with probably expecting too much from Motta too in terms of fixing and getting the best out of everyone right away.
