You're reading it wrong. It does say 3 million in bonusses (so correct). But it does say 2,5 mil in salary.

Since the official statement says nothing about the salary, it's normal to assume nothing in either direction or use the best sources after the deal was finished.

Also Sky reported this from what I've seen, so Schira is far from alone in it. So not exactly some random X rumour.

Buck fuddy is right. If we don't have other sources we can go by reporters. But when we have the actual club official statement. Then that's all that matters as confirmation.

I'd agree but but salaries aren't mentioned in club statements at all ever. So it can't exactly be used as "evidence" of anything.

Schira, Sky, you, me: doesn't matter. I'll go by the official statements.

Official statements NEVER say anything about wages. You can read them all. (What they do usually mention is the length of the contract.)

The 7, or possibily 10, million is what we're going to pay Porto.
So, 2 options:
Option A, salary included: According to our payroll, he's going to earn €0. Porto are still paying his wages, out of what we paid them for the loan.
Option B, salary not included: Wages on our payroll currently unclear afaik, but we'll find out what they are in due time.

Now, option B sounds a lot more likely, but I obviously don't know. I'm sure as shit not going to just assume it's option A, though.
Option B def would sound much more likely at first. I haven't seen a respectable reporter like Schira make up shit about salaries being included like that 'tho. Plus being confirmed by other sources too. Which is why I'm obviously inclined to believe it. Why the fuck would he report something like that if it weren't so? If it was Momblano, ok...

I guess later financial statements will show the details...

Bro, does it matter at this point?

For a one year loan 10 million is ludicrous.

Just to put things into perspective: we paid 12,5 million for full ownership of Vidal, or 10 million for Licht.

Think it does. 7,5m or 10m is a 25% difference.

We also paid 90 for Higuain or 25 for Melo 10 years ago. Examples are a bad evidence of actual value. Don't you think? Most people seem to agree Soulé was worth over 30m...

Let's see how he does and what he'll cost us in the end.

I have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of transfers being confirmed for certain numbers by fairly reliable sources, only for those numbers to be slightly/entirely different in reality.

Conceicao's deal is 7+3. We don't know the conditions for those max +3 bonus. Anyone who say it's 10 is trying to make a drama out of it, ignore them.

For the fix 7M part. Juve doesn't announce any more details. In official announcements, the clubs rarely list that info, you can see they don't list salary, clauses, ... as well. There are 2, 3 decent sources reporting that those 7M include Conceicao's gross salary (~2,5M). This deal is similar to Alcaraz's. It's likely we fans won't ever know the details. So you believe what you want to believe.

I assume you are talking about transfers before it's done :p? From what I've seen, those journalists are pretty accurate about details after the official announcement. If 2 or 3 decent sources report the same thing, it's likely accurate.

So guintoli payed a severance of 4 million to a player who ended up retiring.

Instead of talking to player and saving 4 million because he was going to retire anyway.

What a trash negotiator this guy is .

@Xperd @Lion Avatar and title bets. I'll be your moderator. If both McKennie and Tek gets sold, Xperd wins. If neither gets sold Lion wins. If only one gets sold, the house wins and I'll choose both your avatars for a month. I'll let you guys keep your titles as I am a generous mod.

Edit: To make things more interesting, transfer ban during the January window for the loser.
Can’t even stick to your own rules? Woj was not sold. He retired after contract termination

Giuntoli Deal #43
  • Player: Filip Kostic
  • Type: loan with option to buy
  • To: Fenerbahce
  • Detail: one year loan till 30 June 2025.
  • Note: Fenerbahce pays his full salary according to Agresti. A reported fee of around €4m-€5m if the Turkish club wants to make the move permanent.
Grade: C+
Comment:
He turned down multiple clubs, we had no leverage. But still the formula is a bit disappointing.
