More then the salary decrease, it's really impressive to go down to 24 average age while still improving the quality of the team. We must be one of the top teams with lowest average age now.

It coincidence with the lowering of the salaries too ofcourse since younger players breaking out down demand as much salary (unless they huge signings like Vlahovic was).

Funny right...For the last 4 years we had the highest paid players in the league by quite a margain and we won 4 Serie A titles, 4 Coppas and 4 Super coppas...and now when we don't we drew with Roma.
But you can't bring in top players like Tevez or Ronaldo and pay them penauts. Right?

Giuntoli Deal #42
  • Player: Tiago Djaló
  • Type: dry loan
  • To: Porto
  • Detail: one year loan till 30 June 2025, no loan fee.
  • Note: Romano reported that there's a 60/40 share of salary between the two clubs.
Grade: D
Comment:
That we are short on CB yet we are trying everything we can to offload him probably tells you what Motta thinks of him. We bought him last winter for €3.6m and paid him €2.5m a year. It is safe to draw the conclusion that money is going into Giuntoli's pocket. @Turk_Bianconero

Afcourse...you should sign players like Rabiot, Ramsey and throw 7mil/year long contract at them with high signing bonuses and extend old and shitty players like Sandro on a long term contract and also 7+mil/year, right? Or remember Arthurd? He's still here on high wages and that's why nobody will take him from us. Just throwing a lot of money at some ok/mid players and what happens?
Everything goes to shit like it did with Tici...

Hope you'll understand it...if not, here are some numbers.
Look...merda's payroll was like 30-40mil less than ours (after CR7) and they still won the league...when we had CR7 it was 70mil difference and we barely got to 4th place and they won the league. When Milan won the league we had 90mil€ higher wages and the same when Nipples won.

Also Tevez was bought for same money we got for Matri from Milan and didn't have high wages...and Ronaldo? We spent 100+mil€ on a 33y/o with wages 60mil€/year gross! (thanks Tici)

My point was that we didn't sign top players this summer and that is why our wage bill is lower.

His signing in winter let Huijsen loan to Roma.
We got 500k + performance bonus for loan and let him grow, scored 2 goals. It increase his value for the summer. We probably sell too low.

What Djalo need is playing time to return as a top player after 1.5 season injury and recovery. Main plan if loan is to keep him play in Serie A, but it doesnt happen as Roma playing in deadline day. Grade D is too low, let us see if Djalo can become starter in Porto

Salary of 2,5 million included. So you have to substract that... obviously as it's a simple downpayment on his salary being paid by Porto. So it's 4,5 + 3 mil in possible bonuses to be correct.

But some (guess might be @Amer @JCK or @Lion ) will find ways why salary doesn't count in this deal ofc... Fuck logic when you can hate.

Not that it matters much, but we have no way of knowing the salary is included. Just because it's being mentioned in a tweet doesn't make it true.
A tweet, I might add, that is proven to be incorrect: bonuses could amount to 3, not 2,5.

In general, I'll form my opinion based on official, correct statements (which Juve has to release being a publicly traded company) instead of twitter rumours.
And my opinion, for what it's worth, is that this is an expensive loan.

You're reading it wrong. It does say 3 million in bonusses (so correct). But it does say 2,5 mil in salary.

Since the official statement says nothing about the salary, it's normal to assume nothing in either direction or use the best sources after the deal was finished.

Also Sky reported this from what I've seen, so Schira is far from alone in it. So not exactly some random X rumour.

Schira, Sky, you, me: doesn't matter. I'll go by the official statements.

Official statements NEVER say anything about wages. You can read them all. (What they do usually mention is the length of the contract.)

The 7, or possibily 10, million is what we're going to pay Porto.
So, 2 options:
Option A, salary included: According to our payroll, he's going to earn €0. Porto are still paying his wages, out of what we paid them for the loan.
Option B, salary not included: Wages on our payroll currently unclear afaik, but we'll find out what they are in due time.

Now, option B sounds a lot more likely, but I obviously don't know. I'm sure as shit not going to just assume it's option A, though.

Not to mention calculating salary is not as direct as capital spends on acquiring assets.
