I suspect the point is already proven, give as much many chances as possible, to prove them selves and hope that they will be proved good enough, so tan we can use them as starters eventually, at least as back up, avoiding any further costs and investments...

A typical strategy of the smaller clubs, than now represent our league...
and settle with players like Molinaro...

Hopefully this generation will be proved gifted enough to make us competitive and win a title in the next decade among with a couple quality acquisitions like Sissoko...

Juventus prodigy Christian Pasquato has joined Serie B side Empoli, following in the footsteps of Sebastian Giovinco.

The teenage star striker of the Primavera youth team is loaned out to the Stadio Castellani side with an option to buy up half his contract at the end of the season.

This month Pasquato hit the headlines when he scored in Juve's 4-1 Trofeo Berlusconi defeat to Milan at San Siro.

He also netted six of their eight goals in yesterday's traditional Juventus A vs B team, which is when Coach Claudio Ranieri confirmed the 19-year-old would be farmed out.

“Pasquato proved that he is a step above the others his age and would just be wasted by spending another year in the youth team.

“It is only right he goes out to gain experience, as he has what it takes to be a very important player.”

Pasquato follows in the path of Giovinco, who was also loaned to Empoli last season and is now back in Turin.

Has the board not learned from the De Ceglie & Criscito deals?

Why give Empoli the chance to buy half of his contract? If this guy is as good as Ranieri says and what he has shown in his short appearances in preseason then surely its crazy to give Empoli the chance to buy half of his contract.

Seriously, you guys throw a hissy fit over nothing (heh, I remember the fits Marks misinformation about Giovinco caused ;)). This is only if we wanted to sell him, the option is that, only an option, nothing more (we havent sold half of him, only given the alternative to do so if we want).

Bari had 300k option on Lanzafame with the loan, if we wanted to sell him, but taken back when deemed good enough.

It means option to buy IF we want to sell, not binding whatsoever, like you assume too quickly. They are usually made to have a way to get rid of players if they arent good enough, and make the teams more willing to loan them.

Not sure what made you come to that conclusion. But we cant outbid on someone we already fully own.
Go check the contract that Empoli had with Giovinco and you'll see what I mean. Pasquato was loand out to Empoli on the exact same conditions. People laughed at Mark when he said that last year but in the end it was Mark who was right.

How was he right? Did we pay millions to get him back as it was hysterically speculated? He was a loan, has there been any mention us paying for him?

And do you know something else about the Pasquato deal? Its a loan with option to buy half, not even fully. Where does it say its totally binding (we HAVE to sell half of him come next summer, if it was that binding, we would have sold half now, but an option is just an option), and we have to outbid them for a player we own? As said, Lanzafame was a loan with option to buy for Bari. But we got him back easily and for free, as we owned him. Not sure how the above deal is different, except the option is for half, and not fully.

Thats convenient, why wouldnt they bid for the brighest starlet of calcio if they were free to do so? We werent forced to sell half of him or pay for a frigging loan. These deals are complicated, but no need to complicate to something they arent.
