No, the thing with Australia is, that they've had such a solid structure in their squad over the last decade or so there has been no space for grooming youngsters. So now, when the likes of McGrath and Warne have no option but to retire due to age, Australia doesnt have anybody even half as capable to replace them. In theory, its the same problem with their batting line up. The likes of Hayden, Langer, Ponting, Martyn, Symonds are certainly not getting any younger.

ces such as Hussey and Hodge they may be 30 but add pressure!! with 10,000 first class runs behind them!! Warne will play till his 40!! Mcgrath is bowling the best he ever has!! Hayden has found form and no longer looks like going out!! Ponting still hasent even hit his prime!! Martyn will be back!! Langer still looks very solid indeed!! These are champions sorry i cant agree there where times in the ashes i thought shit we may b in decline!! but no!! we still have easily the best team in the world!!AND THATS WHY WE ARE NO.1!! I doubt South Africa will be able to handle our double spin attack!! we will destroy them like we always do!! We have defeated india in india not long ago!! talking bout decline not yet keep dreaming maybe in 5 years but not just yet!! LEts not forget Clarke his a star and he still cant get a bat!! even Martyn whos a star!! gee we have got class in batting!! Maybe wen Warne retires Mcguail for a little longer than we have Cullen a gun off spinner!! watch for this name!! Speed may be issue but we got tait and Bracken and in 4 years or so they will only get betta!! wen Mcgrath goes by!! So Australian cricket is still the best in the world!!

Pakistan hang on to clinch series
Fourth one-day international, Rawalpindi: Pakistan 210 (47.2 overs) bt England 197 all out (48.1 overs) by 13 runs

Pakistan beat England by 13 runs in Rawalpindi to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the one-day series.

At the end of the day, though its never nice to lose... We as a nation only hold one trophy in our hearts... And we won that... The other competitions are essentially jus build up for the next ashes... Win or lose means little...

Having said that , your boys have played well and deserve the win.. whilst we have been poor, though that is expected as its still party mode from the ashes.. the real capabilities of england will not be seen again till well into the new year...

Well done though

Ive seen a fair bit, with the timing its dificult to catch it all...

Been watching when i get up in the morning and a bit after ive dropped my daughter at school... Otherwise following on radio...

The time difference makes it impossible to follow as much as i would like and still allow for work / kids / wife etc

Quite enjoyed (bar the results) what i have managed to see though

EDIT :eek:ops you changed matches

England got a consolation win in the end, buhu, they should be lucky. Had Inzy been there as he was in the last game when everyone fell we could have held on for the win. They were really outperformed this series. Well done Pak! ;)

wonderful to see pakistan bring England smashing down to earth!!
:agree:

can't wait for the World Cup. We've finally got our squad and with all the games between now and then there is plenty of time for the team to really get into the groove, I think we have a really good chance.
