All of you speaking bout Gila....what makes you think he will be so good? What would happen if his form becomes like DYO`s?
Another thing....we need a high striker with a powerful header cuz our game is based on crossing(and there aint signs that this would change) and Gila isnt tall and doesnt have a header instinct. Thats why I would likie to see Crespo instead of Gila next season(although....I would like Gila to come but to be a sub his first season)

In a recent interview Crespo claimed that his move to England and Chelsea was very difficult for him and that he would very much consider a move back to Italy. He might be hinting at this rumour.

As for Barca I don't know if it will materialize. I think Rijkaard doesn't want Treze but the board wants him.

Anyway, the inflated prices during the transfer window seem to be back. So we can easily take advantage with some shrewd moves. Moggi, show them !!

watever it is WHOEVER is offering jus sell trezegol... i used to like him but i am seeing more now that he is a very STAGNANT striker.... not sayin that he isn't a good finisher but i like strikers to come out of the 18 yard box sometimes lol... i think di vaio should get the nod over him EVERY time... that marco di vaio has blistering pace... (THIERRY? u wanna come back to juve???) lol...
as far as crespo coming in? not a good move, go for a younger striker like cavenaghi or gillardino... haven't seen him (cave)play but he is getting rave reviews.. let's hope he is up to the challenge of the Serie A.
or sell trezegol and take the HUGE amount of cash and buy a good defender (mexes / squillaci) and one of those strikers (cave or gillardino)

OH YEA YALL JEROME ROTHEN FROM AS MONACO IS WORTH SIGNING!!!!

I'm not to big on Crespo. He was a good striker, key word was. I haven't watched him in England, how is his form? I say get the cash for Trez, and buy Gilardino...
I am so completely in agreement with xNeo's sentiments here. Crespo is past his prime and, IMO, is overpriced for what we'd get (like a lot of Chelsea players ... though my interest is piqued about today's Lampard news, even if one sure fire way to kill his career is to send him to Inter :D ). Gila, on the other hand, is more of a rising star, probably comes at a reasonable price, and is a Juve fan himself through-and-through.

This is a good question to ask. To balance out our offensive attack, we could use some height up front. (Miccoli is not going to cut it. ;) ).

That said, Crespo is a possible answer, but IMO neither a good one nor a fiscally responsible one.

Trez set for England?
Friday 23 April, 2004

Three Premiership clubs could join Barcelona in the chase to sign Juventus forward David Trezeguet.

The Frenchman is set to leave Turin this summer as talks over a contract extension have stalled.

Trezeguet, who is only tied to the club until 2005, wants an improved salary but Juve are set to sell rather than meet his requests.

Barcelona have been strongly linked with the international for some months but a switch to the Premiership could beckon.

Chelsea are monitoring the situation, with reports suggesting that they are ready to offer £8m plus Hernan Crespo in exchange.

Arsenal too would be interested as they could look to team up Thierry Henry with his French striking partner.

Manchester United may also enter the equation if they sell Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who is an alleged Real Madrid target.

Reports in the peninsula suggest that the Bianconeri officials will hold talks with Barca next week to hear their bid.

They are then expected to fly to London on May 4 to meet representatives of both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Actually Gilardino is tall, + he can head just fine.

Yeah....so can DYO....and Gilla isnt so tall....his game relies on skill of finishing not headers....he doesnt posess so called "rebound" or rejection....DYO isnt tall....but he has rejection. Cave has that also.
Gila just isnt so dangerous in the air.....and that is the skill we need

One more of new-Juve fan guard......well sonny....if you watched juve before 10 years ago....some things would cut-in your memory and you would never let DP away....but thats my opinion and opinion of 50.000 fans on Delle Apli that sitted there when I did(although Im from other country...I come sometimes to watch Juve). I just cant imagine to let him go. If he is so bad, Lippi or someone else would set his job in the club as coach.....untill then....you can onley talk worthless words. We got everything with DP.....why to get rid of him?
(wev dont get nothing much back??? 4 finals and 1 tittle of CL,5 scudetto,3 Super Cups,1 Cup,Uefa Cup,1 European SuperCup,1 World Club Championship in last 10 years? Boy...check the Juve history)
