Capello Should Watch More And Speak Less - Torres Atletico Madrid skipper Fernando Torres has responded to accusations of cheating made by Fabio Capello.

"Everyone can say what they want," said Torres to AS when asked what he had to say about Capello's reactions.

"Capello should look at the replay, and speak less. I believe that on television, he will see that I do not pretend."

Asked for his version, he said: "I was fighting [for possession] with Sergio, and when I went for the ball, he threw an elbow. That is a very clear booking."

He admitted he was surprised with Capello's reaction, and went on to cheekily suggest: "Perhaps he is speaking more about that because he does not want to speak of Real Madrid's poor display."

Finally he admitted disappointment with the draw "because this match was there to be won. These are two points dropped that we cannot recover."

actually i think it wasnt a yellow card and Torres did imbilsh it a bit.
Ramos's past haunted him imo.
But cap doesnt have any business talking abt Torress like that, he should focus on why his team didnt win.

    Crapello on Toress:howler:

They Should Ban Torres For Cheating - Capello Upset over the sending off of Sergio Ramos for an alleged elbow at Fernando Torres, Real Madrid coach Fabio

"All I am saying is that is seems unfair to me that Torres is cheating and deceiving the referee, and it is important to suspend him," said Don Fabio to AS. "I do not like cheats."

"It was a failure on the part of the referee. I believe that one should be shown the red card for an elbow, but only when there is one. He [Sergio Ramos] simply put a hand in Torres's face," said the Italian, visibly peeved.

"That [to pretend as if it was an elbow] is to deceive the referee, and it is not fair. The linesman was nearby and should have helped."

Capello had more complaints about the refereeing: "In a match such as this, it is very important to be correct with the cards. They have kicked Guti time and again, and the play has been allowed to go on. That is the truth.

"Then towards the end, Ramos does not elbow him [Torres], but he dives, and Ramos is sent off. Those who cheat need to be banned."

Forget about Crapello people he isnt our Coach anymore and I m glad for that!

I think we should never have hired him.

All that he won( 2 Scudetto ) with us is gone now.

These two seasons are erased from history, so he like never was our Coach.

He is a selfish, ugly bastard who plays ugly historic football and ruins good players.

    Go to hell, Crapello!

Real Madrid coach Capello blasts 'cheater' Torres
    tribalfooball.com - October 02, 2006

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has branded Atletico Madrid captain Fernando Torres a 'cheat' after last night's derby finished 1-1.

Capello believed Torres continually went down too easily under challenge in a game which saw Real defender Sergio Ramos dismissed.

Capello accused him of theatrics in order to get Ramos sent off when he went to ground after being hit in the face by the defender as the two competed for the ball.

"Torres dived and tried to fool the referee," said the Italian. "It was cheating and I don't like cheats."

But the Spain striker denied he had exaggerated the incident which earned Ramos a second yellow card.

"Capello should talk less and look at the video instead," he told Punto Radio. "There was an elbow and when he sees the incident I'm sure he will recognise that that the sending off was right."

"He was probably just saying that to try and divert attention from his own team's poor play."

So why is Ramos's hand in Torres's face?

If Capello thought Torres was cheating then he obviously hasnt seen Zokora dive - That is what I call cheating!

However, I do think Torres did went down too easily in a dramatic sense than necessary. Then again, you can't just brand him as a cheat because just about all players do that these days. I mean just look at Bayern vs Inter. A giant like Van Buyten goes down like a man just shot because a "sissy" called Zlatan puts his hand on the shoulder. Mind you, Zlatan will take pride in being "hard" such is his mental state:D. And we all know Crapello's recently divorced girlfriend goes down so theatrically that even incompetent refs don't buy them, and yet he is willing to play him over more classy, honest player like Del Piero.

I always liked Torres but I am starting to like him even more. Just change that stripe for glorious black and white then he will become a legend.
