So i was at the supermarket to pick up some groceries yesterday & this kid, probably 9/10 called his mom a bitch, in public. I was really tempted to slap that little ginger ninja but his mom just ran out crying.

Now i would have caught an epic ass whooping from my parents had i done that when i was that age.Also i got whippings with a cane during my primary school days for constant misbehavior.

Do you think corporal punishment is wrong?

Depends what kind of a relations kids have with their parents. Since my childhood days and my father has been treating me like a friend, never needed to slap/whip my ass/punish me. My mother did couple of times either because I was staying out late playing football when I was very young or when I misbehave at school.

God forbid, I think the moment I call my father an asshole he would cut me into pieces and never forgive me, the same can be said with my mother though she's a very forgivable woman but still...

my god B, did i get my ass whopped back in the day!!! i was never the naughty child but my sister was always the master mind and she would some how convince me to do things even if i never approved, i think i was trying to get approval and all but i did get smacked for:

1- being naughty
2- embarassing my parents while being at relatives
3- not listening to clear and simple instructions
4- trying the choke slam on my younger brother ( u know the one used by the undertaker in wwe or wwf when it was called that )

so yeah i think its not wrong unless its done excessively. it has to be told i was;nt slapped or belted( never got belted by either parents) unless it was sth huge or necessary. i did get grounded instead which is better

nope no regular beatings simply bec i thought of the consequences of any action i did oh yeah that butt spanking really did work on keeping my mischievousness under the lid. the last time i got hit by either parents was at the age of 12. after that i was treated like an adult.

Nothing too severe, but a clip round the side of the head now and again when I stepped out of line.

It never really bothered me. I'd rather get a quick slap than be grounded or banned from doing stuff for ages.

I never embarrassed my when in public, that was a big no no. I always got into trouble at school for disrupting class, making jokes & not doing homework.

Detention became a hobby for me & i even had my own chair in the principals office at primary school right through to high school.
