Expert doesn't mean gospel, also the final say goes to you and obviously the one who pays the cost of these choices is once again you. Like i said many times before it doesn't matter if the intention is good or the measure sounds righteous, the undeniable question always remains: at what cost? The reason i asked you that question is there's people, whom you call expert, who say things like the below. You willing to go along with this? Because I'm sure from the policy makers to the people who follow them, we will find ourselves in long winding road of escalation of commitment. Pretty soon you won't know how you got there.

Well as Buck said:
Since I don't understand a single word of that article, I wonder what "restrictions" he's talking about.
Because restrictions really could mean anything from not being allowed to enter the country if you have not been vaccinated up to continous lockdowns. And everything in between.
It also needs to be said, judging from the comments and the other tweets of that account, it seems it's designed to invoke a certain type of reaction. I fully expect there to be travel restrictions for a while. I mean it's not as if we don't already have vaccine requirements for travel anyway. But at the end of the day, we have to be practical about this. If things start looking like they did here back in April 2020, you can't just have things continue to spiral out of control and crash the healthcare system. And I think we will see that in states like Alabama. But time will tell, and so will mutations.

Not sure if true or not, but...

I don't care how bad it gets, even if the hospitals are full of dead bodies, let me be clear... no more FUCKING lockdowns. Most of the people that will be dying are the ones unvaccinated, and if so, so be it.
:agree:

The vaccine has been available to everyone for months, if you chose not to get it, too fucking bad at this point if you’re one of the unlucky ones who has died. I don’t care if they issue a mask mandate. Only complete babies get butthurt about wearing a mask. Everyone in the trades wears full N95 dust masks while working all the time, even the hot, humid, dusty summer days.

But absolutely no lockdowns should be happening at this point. Ridiculous that it’s being contemplated.

I mentioned GANs in a previous post, look at this.
https://www.geekwire.com/2021/amazo...witter-bios-emerge-speak-mostly-union-effort/
Note: Whether you agree with unionization or not, it's about the fake Twitter bots themselves.

Now imagine you take one of those good generated faces. Instead of just Twitter posts, imagine it's used in a deepfake. Now imagine then, you give it a voice to go along with it. Soon enough, these experts/officials/whatever you'd like to call them will become more important that ever, as it could easily become genuine guidance from the domestic government vs that of a hostile foreign entity.

I have strong doubts of this, personally.

I don’t understand people who are anti-mask, anti everything. They say you can still get the infection if you wear a mask or get the vaccine etc.
True.

Think about a car: you have crumple zones, seat belts, ABS, automatic braking etc etc. Yes you can still die or be seriously harmed despite these safety features. But would you prefer to drive a 1950's car with none of these features?
Or how about having a gun. The bad guy can still kill you even if you have the best gun available. So maybe, we should get rid of guns then?

Its all about reducing the risks. Eventually, something is going to get us but that doesn’t mean that we have to be stupid.

So we all need to buy guns?
