I'm not sure people are just following the crowd for the vaccine, though I could see them following the crowd to avoid the risk of being excluded to go into a bar or a concert.

I'm still dumbfounded daily by the people who still don't understand what a vaccine does or does not do and what it does and does not have to do with infection and spread.

The political polarization has gotten so bad there are people who are afraid to suggest mask wearing because it might increase vaccine hesitancy (which, some say, was the original reason the CDC pulled back on mask mandate suggestions months ago). Same with factual information about how the vaccinated can still get COVID from each other and spread it, just to a reduced degree. So what we have are people telling white lies and fat lies to manipulate behavior rather than being straight with people.
Then it should be called experimental mRNA gene therapy, because it's not a vaccine and it's not approved.

What's your point, stupid people exist? We know this.

Other side of the same coin:
Why some won't ditch their masks outdoors: 'I'm not about to look like a Republican.'

I mean people wearing masks regardless may look stupid but it’s not harming others. The country folks out there in Missouri and the likes are literally peer shaming their family and friends into not getting the vaccine and therefore causing more harm to their communities. And you best believe these folks are the unhealthy ones that weigh 400+ lbs and chew/smoke tobacco while drinking moonshine.

Ah, that was the point of your post: concern for 400 pound Missourians. Got ya :p

My issue with the anti-vax crowd here is that large numbers of people getting sick increases the chance of significant mutations, which can potentially affect everyone on the planet considering we at best barely have a hold on this.

Personally I don't get why anyone would want to be like the Orthodox Jews here that get outbreaks of every preventable disease ever, but you do you otherwise.

I'm on this trading Discord and there is this disdain for the "double jabbers" who took the vaccine, thinking they are super spreaders and killing people who prefer not get vaccinated.

    Good, just kill errrrrrrrrrrybody.
