NY, NJ, and CT put travel restrictions on anybody visiting from states with high community spread (FL and TX for instance) from tonight.

My neighbor’s daughter (3months old) who lives 2 floors above me has tested positive but her parents have been tested negative. The guy doesnt wear a mask or anything. Ive stopped using elevator because of him.

Another 5500+ day for lone star state. Texas now has 4300 people in hospitals. I think in Memorial Day it was ~1400.
Yeah, the new cases alone aren’t so worrying, with increased testing and much lower average age of positive cases... what’s worrying is the massive spike in hospitalizations in Texas, Arizona, Florida, etc.

Really bad news out of Houston, "hospitals could exceed intensive-care unit bed capacity as soon as Thursday as the Covid-19 outbreak expands."

It's crazy that even bars and restaurants are still open in Houston.
Long Island entered phase 3 reopening yesterday and my neighborhood pub was packed last night. Nobody had a mask on from what I saw. Hopefully this won't be a short-lived phase 3.

That's what you get when your food has to be cheap as fuck. I travelled a lot, and nowhere have i seen people being such cheapskates when it comes to what they are eating.

imagine what the sign language girl can do with her hands

on a more serious note: for the average household (if you look up the avg income across the country) good quality meat is way too expensive but I'd probably agree that the upper class is more stingy with food than somewhere else. They will have their 8€ coffee three times a day though

I'm hoping too man, but I'm really not optimistic about it. However I think we'll fare much better than Texas or Florida just based on people and politicians seem to care a lot more in general here.

Also we had a much higher infection rate initially, maybe that'll break the chain of infection in some cases.
